eveyone always talks about their brushes, but we never seem to mention the other tools we employ in our regimens. which tools and supplies can you not do without?

my list:

kleenix - to clean my mascara brush before doing my brows, to blot foundation before applying powder, to blot lip pencil if it's too intense

cosmetic qtips (one end pointy, one end flat) - to clean up brow pencil before applying highlighter. to blend or tone down shadow

regular qtips - to clean my pencil sharpner & brush tubes, etc.

non latex wedges - only when i need to apply cream foundation.

my fingers - to spread foundation, to blend concealer, to define lip pencil line.

is anyone out there using some interesting tool? let us know!

oh girl! you know i can't live without my prized disposable mascara wand collection!!! hahaha , those and baby wipes.

of course, q-tips are up there, but i just found some new tips that i adore... the Swabplus prefilled swabs that you break and fill with remover.

the blender egg shaped sponge is amazing for blending away hard edges from your foundation.

and a big ol' puff. everyone needs a big puff.

ok, you've got to give me the hookup for those swabs! they sound amazing! do you know i totally forgot about my mascara wand? i'd be lost without it for my brows and lashes. and i never thought about baby wipes either. great tips! thanks so much brewgrl!

I found them at my Ulta and at Rite Aid i think, BUT you can also get them online I think at drugstore.com. Swabplus is the maker!!! OH the best use is as liner and mascara and lipstick cleaner when makeup travels throughout the day- you can have a couple in your purse, and whip them out WHENEVER.

Baby wipes are my MUST. It's what i use to clean my eyeshadow brushes if i am going to be using the same one for different colors. it works well, dries fast. and it's my lazy way of taking off most of my makeup when i just don't want to go through the whole routine. if it's good enough and gentle enough for the baby, it's good enough for me!

I use disposable mascara wands to apply castor oil to my lashes. And I dampen my makeup sponges with a little water right before I apply my foundation (that's if I'm not using a foundation brush). Doing it this way gives me that dewy look that I like.
