Which one is better for really straight, thin Asian eyelashes?

A lot of times, mascara will just straighten out my lashes, even after I've taken 20 minutes to curl them. I need something that will hold my curl, thicken my lashes and lengthen my lashes. Would Lash Injection or BADgal work for me?

If neither will work, can I get any recommendations?

I have never used Badgal but I love Lash Injection. It holds my curl and I have straight long lashes. You also can get a trial size tube of it at Sephora for like $8.50 so if you don't like it you aren't out the $19 for a full size tube.

thanks Kristin! I was actually leaning toward the Lash Injection, but I really wanted to get a good deal out of Sephora... buying just one tube of mascara and paying$5.95 for S&H. I'd rather buy an arsenal of makeup and paying $5.95 for S&H. LOL

I also prefer Lash Injection. It's a Fiber mascara and it really makes your lashes loooonnnngggg.

Hi Tonkabeane!

I have the *exact* same problem. My lashes are straight as ever and unfortunately I have hooded eyes, so I really need a mascara that will hold the curl to get that wide eyed look. I have tried everything from Benefit Bad Girl to DiorShow to MAC's Plush Lash to Maybelline Great Lash and more. Though I love the feel of these mascara none of them hold the curl I worked so hard to get with my eyelash curler. I have however found one thing that works: Maybelline Sky High Curves in Waterproof. The non-waterproof one will not hold the curl on my extremely straight lashes. I apply one coat of this after curling, comb/brush the lashes, then apply another coat, let that dry and finally top it off with a thickening/lengthening/volumizing, etc. mascara, depending on what look am I trying to achieve: natural, dramatic, defined, long, etc. The only downside with this is that it takes a while to remove the mascara. I would suggest instead of buying the $5 small sized makeup remover from Maybelline to buy a big bottle of babyoil for $2 - it has the exact same effect as far as removal goes and will save you some money in the long run

Let me know how you get along!

Thanks Becca! OMG, that was my previous mascara! I loved how it curled so well, but it got a bit clumpy towards the end (maybe I had it a little too long -.-"). Thanks! That's really reassuring! I think I'll get another tube of Sky High Curves. Cheap and convenient. I might just wait a couple of months to order the Too Faced Lash Injection from Sephora, or maybe I'll just take a trip to the nearest Sephora!

what i noticed about the bad girl lash mascara is when i tried my sister's it totally flaked on me like an hour later.

i didnt care too much for it. and the brush seemed to big for me to handle so i kept getting mascara on my e/s.

Thanks for the tip. This is good to know.

If you're interested in seeing if Lash Injection will hold the curl I would head out to a Sephora/Ulta and try it on there (curl your lashes in the car, don't apply mascara - keep them natural and then try the mascara on

). Remember on our straight lashes no brush (no matter how much they try to sell you on it) is going to keep the curl, it's all in the mascara. If it holds the curl - all the better

. If it doesn't, then you've saved yourself twenty bucks and can spend it on a Sky High Curves mascara AND a new MAC eyeshadow/lipgloss, etc.

i have lash injection & its okay.. very basic as far as i'm concerned. i use to LOVE it, but now i alternate between wet n' wild curling mascara [my rec. to you] & clinique high impact. i have short straight lashes, and these mascaras are the ONLY things that will work for me. The wet n' wild one is AMAZING, i'd recommend trying that first.

I saw Lash Injection on HSN tonight,it sold out.I'm going to try the mini size.I hope it works!
