hi girls!

i use a locally made facial wash and moisturizer (celeteque) for my daily skincare regimen. it's really great since it makes my face feel soft and smooth and NOT oily at all. the moisturizer is water based.

i'd like to ask if i need to use a toner between the wash and the moisturizer. if so, what natural toner can you guys recommend (which i'll try to find here (manila, the philippines).

TIA!

Not everyone uses a toner, but it can do good things for the skin if used correctly

I'd suggest that you choose an alcohol free toner, if you decide to use one at all, as alcohol can be very drying to the skin and ultimately end up causing damage. A few name brands that carry an alcohol free toner are Nivea and Neutrogena. You may also try doing a search on the forum using the word 'Toner'. Best of luck

Witch hazel is a nice toner as well. Although I'm not sure what kind of availability you will have in your country.

I've heard Witch Hazel has the same drying effects as alcohol based products. It might suit you though?

My dermatologist doesn't recommend toners and so I've been "toner-less" for about 8 years now and my skin looks great. I also do not use toners in my aesthetics practice.

The theory is that if you're dry, toner will dry you further. If you're oily, it can cause you to produce even more oil and if you're normal/comb you really don't need it. Of course this all depends on what's in the toner, etc.

These days I think toners are more a matter of choice than necessity. Will be looking forward to hearing others opinions on the matter.

Thats a really interesting post! I was planning on buying a toner to add to my skin care regimen but i've decided against. My skin is quite clear at the moment so I don't want to aggravate it and I think a toner would do that. Cleanse/Treat/Moisturise and you can't go wrong

Lee.

The only toner I use is for blemish control, and I use it for on-the-spot treatment after cleansing but before moisturizing.

I use toner everyday right after washing my face. I'm using El toner but I prefer Biotherm one.

Yes ! Earlier even I did not use toner much other than removing the make-up, but off late I am using twice a day morning and nite and can see quite a difference.

I am an all natural person so I use a toner which contains 24k GOLD with TURMERIC. Gold means Gold Ash. And No Alcohal

It works wonders !!!
