I think not to squeak. I have read that shampoo that makes your hair squeaky 'clean' is too stripping. I'm sure there are others here who know more about this.
Yup... it squeaks... and it's not a very good thing. When it's so clean that it squeaks, you have removed all the oils, which protect the hair, add shine and keep it healthy. Plus, over-cleansing the hair makes oil glands in the scalp produce MORE oil because it's 'programmed' to think that you have none, so it kicks into overdrive. Better off using a gentle shampoo, keep the clarifiers to a once a week occurance... and ignore when the bottle says "Lather ... Rinse... Repeat". Don't Repeat. That is the culprit for stripping oils and plus, they want you to use more of the shampoo so you have to buy more sooner. A marketing scam that is not good for your hair!! A quarter - to half dollar size is all you need. Lather your scalp, and let the soap rinse down to the ends. Applying shampoo directly to the ends is unnecessary as they are ususally drier than the scalp anyway. Suds up on top... and the ends will be clean when you rinse out. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
