Hey MuT!!!! Am having trouble typing with a broken arm-but you guys have been a mainstay!!! Picture this: I am a 55 year old mother. My 25 year old daughter is helping me out of shower. (Remember broken arm) She screams!!!! Mom!!! You have to do something with that bush!!!! (Bush is pubic hair). I have always been a bikini wax person--thought that was enough--but she enlightens me with her infinite wisdom that everyone is shaving it all these days!!!! She has what she calls a landing strip. Anyway, i have since groomed it up--can't bring myself to shave it all!!!!!! Is everybody shaving?????? Where have I been???????? Comments??? :glasses:

Well, I only did because my bf liked it. You should shave, but only if you really want too. A lot of my friends do it though.

I almost always shave all of it. Sometimes just for something different I'll leave a landing strip, but mostly I just like it all gone!

I shave, but at times I let it all grow back and just keep it neatly trimmed. ...reason, I hate those nasty razor bumps. If I could afford laser hair removal, that would be my choice!!

Only shave if you feel it necessary. I don't want to or need to. It gets a trim every now and then but I don't like shaving it off.

I feel your distress cookie-for-coco. I'm 44 yrs old and a few yrs back I was debating if I should start this whole shaving thing (this was after I realized I was sooo unaware of it). :I I mean I knew it was popular, but not the NORM! LOL! Anyway, I tried it, but I just didn't feel like myself. No one did this when I was in college - and if you did, it was usually an experiment for you bf -and then you let it grow back (the itching)! I suppose it's a bit of a generation gap we are dealing with.

Oh yes..I make sure it's bikini line friendly and not "unruly" .

I've quite happy with my nicely kept "bush" look. lol

i would like to add, that i hope you don't try to shave it with your broken arm. It's complicated enough with two hands.

I have because I justdon't like hair down south. I like it when my skin is smooth and hairfree. I shave myself down there everyday to avoid razor bumps. I'm not a big fan of bushes either.

BUT I don't like it when men shave their bodies. I'd kill my boyfriend if he'd shave any part of his body (except for his face of course)

yup..must be a generation thing..my mom needs major help when it comes to her wearing a bathing suit..lol and me..no issues because I also like it smooth as a baby's butt lol whether it requires a wax or shave I demolish body hair at first sight..just a peeve of mine ..all about personal preference.

I usually just shave it. The only thing I hate is getting the razor bumps, but I heard that using a deodorant stick will help.

I get my bikini line waxed with maybe a little bit extra, but I won't go totally bare ever again. I keep the hair trimmed up and relatively short, so it's not too much of a "bush." I just felt so weird totally bare. It made me feel totally unsexy and kinda girlish.

i don't shave it all, it hurts like hell everytime i use the razor. i tried once wax, and i'm not a fan (i screamed !).

Bah....no ones seeing it.....i dont bother shaving or waxing. Just trimming.

Omg I can't believe your daughter said that to you! I would never tell my mum she had to 'do something about her bush' lol! I think the whole brazillian thing came into fashion because porn stars made it popular? And now it is the norm - why do new things keep getting invented for us women to do to ourselves in the name of beauty? I remember reading somewhere that shaving of the legs only came into fashion because the razor companies wanted to sell more razors!

I shave, I do it because I think it's politer for my partner during certain activites (lol!), and if I'm wearing underwear which is a little skimpier at the front, then it's in the name of neatness, and also if wearing togs (swimsuit).

I was talking to one of my friends a while ago about getting a brazillian and she said she had but she didn't like it because it made getting intimate with her partner painful for her, I guess because having hair down there means you dont get painful rubbing of the skin or something?

Anyway it's up to you - who is going to see it? You dont need to do it because everyone else is (because they're probably not!) - it's like when you see people wearing the wrong clothes for their body shape just because it's in fashion at the moment.
