To pierce or not to pierce?

ok so ive really been thinking about gettin my nose pierced. i wanted it done a while ago and then everyone had it done so i didnt do it but ive been thinking about it again. and i wanted to know what everyone thinks

if i get it done i just want a lil stud no ring

should i or shouldnt i?

A little nose stud can look cute on pretty much everybody, so if you're worried about whether or not it will suit you, I'd say just go for it. I've been thinking about getting my nose pierced sometime in the near future [but then again, I've been saying that for a couple years now

], so my opinion might be a bit biased... but if you want to, just do it. You're a pretty girl, I think it would look adorable on you

i have my nosed pierced an i love it!! Let me explain a few things to you though,

1) when you get it pierced you will MOST LIKELY get a bump where the whole is, like a pimple, and it will last for 3/4 months before it goes away.

( This is not just my personal expericen, its a fact for this type of piercing.)

2) Get a stud that is in surgical steel, or gold before you try one that is silver. This part of the body is sensitive so dont get a silver stud untill your nose is healed ( 6 months to 2 years for healing)

3) If you have a silver stud DONT wear it in the shower, it will OXIDATE aka sort of rust!!

4) NEVER, NEVER get a stud that has prongs to hold the stone in, WHY? BECAUSE the chances of you getting it snaged on close and ripping you nose is very very likely.

Do you have seasonal allergies? It sounds silly but if you are gonna do it, try and avoid allergy/cold and flu seasons. You dont want a fresh piercing and a runny nose!

I agree. A small stud would be cute, but keep in mind that once you get it peirced, you will have a permanent little hole there for the rest of your life that won't ever look closed. Maybe it won't be as obvious if you use a small stud, but my friend used a "standard" nose piercing and wore it for a while, and takes it out when she goes to work, and you can totally see the hole.

i disagree with the whole "you'll be able to see the hole for the rest of your life" thing somewhat...i had my nose pierced up until recently for close to 4 years. i took it out for work and less than a week later you couldnt tell it was even there.

i say go for it. i can't wait to get mine redone! studs look good on pretty much everyone

Thats why you buy a retainer!!! aka its a clear plastic stud/ or their are the flesh colored ones so it doesnt look like your wearing a piercing. And everyone is differend, some peoples holes will close withing a few hours, that would be me!, and some people it take a few months.

I'm not saying that will happen to everyone, but my friend...........not sure if she didn't take care of the piercing properly or whatnot, but she has a pretty unsightly hole in her nose that is pretty ugly

Well, you only live once...I say go for it! I wanted to get my nose pierced at one time, but decided against any facial piercings cuz of my prior jobs. However, I have my tongue pierced for about 4 yrs now and I don't regret it one bit

If it's something you truly wanted for awhile, it's best to go with your instincts more than what people say. If you end up hating it later on, then you can always remove it.

I'd never do it personally, it doens't look professional and I don't see the point. But if you want to get it, I say go for it

Yeah, go for it. You can always take it out if you change your mind. I can only wear a stud, because for some reason rings really irritate my sinuses.

i wouldnt do it only because if i ever want to take it out or grow bored with it you will have a permanent hole that is noticeable on your face

I say do it! Make sure you take good care of it, and be careful about the makeup you're using. My cousin's got really irritated by her foundation for some reason.
