Tiny red dots on body

Ive developed tiny red dots on my arms and body few dayz back.I went and see my derm and he said its the age spots and very common.Its luks like a small tiny cherry mole, but I never had these before. He said some will fall off naturally or remain.If its really bothering, it can be removed by laser.Has anyone had this problem?
