I had stopped using toner a ways back with no ill effects. But, I had gotten a generous sample of the Firming Botanical toner from XXXSPAM deleted by ModXXX and it has been sooooooooooooo disgustingly hot lately that I picked up the bottle that had been sitting there.

It's a spray on and it's loaded with great actives. Well, I'm in love! It's mucho refreshing and it does a nice job of firming and toning.

I'll also let you in on a little secret. I bought some dmae from the personal formulator and added it to the bottle that I went ahead and purchased after loving the sample so much. I've been spraying this on my body and I have to say that I'm wowed by the effect. VERY VERY nice.... Feels great too. Definitely worth a try.

When I was a teenager, I use to use a toner - mixed equal parts witch hazel and water. My skin was really oily so it certainly helped. And I probably spent a whole 50 cents.

I love writing reviews.... I'll check out how to do it! Thanks much.

It's supposed to remove any last traces of debris from your skin. I have oily skin and used to use it all the time. But, as my skincare regimen changed, I stopped using it and never missed it. The only time I ever used it anymore was after microdermabrasion. As I said, I only used this stuff because I got it as a sample when I purchased other products from the line.

This is no simple witchhazel toner though. It has an awesome list of active ingredients. It not only succeeded in refreshing me and keeping the oilies at bay, but it has a very definite firming effect due to the various botanicals and other actives. I obviously enhanced that by adding the dmae though.

what is the difference between astringent and toner?

i use astringent to clean my face after washing.

I feel the need to comment. When I read your posts and threads, initially I get the impression that you are pretty naive about skin care.

But the more I read, the more it appears that you are very knowledgeable about skin care and products related to the skin.

So much so, I am starting to believe you are more than a consumer. In fact, it seems like you have a vested interest in the products you are so excited about.

My understanding is that MUT doesn't allow people to promote their own products in this fashion. If MUT has approved, why are you coming across a bit deceptive?

I am indeed very knowledgeable about issues related to the skin and am a member of a number of skincare boards. I'm sorry if my comments regarding Bella Pelle Skincare come across as promotion. Well, let me rephrase that actually.... I suppose I am "promoting" them in that sense that I really do love the line. With that said, I'm not anything more than a consumer - I have no connection to the products aside from the fact that I use them and was delighted when they decided to sell them online as well as at their facility.

Belle Pella is not the only skin care line that you have started threads on.

Interesting that you didn't mention the lines that you are affiliated with.

I find it odd that you would talk so highly and write recommendations for your competitor's skin care products.
