I bought an IPL unit from a "reputed" manufacturer costing me US$395 in January this year and it promptly broke after using it for like 4 weeks with a ceremonial loud popping sound. I did not bother to get it resolved because I really do not trust the build quality of their products. Then I thought that the more expensive a machine is, the more value there is. So then I bought an E-one IPL unit in march this year after falling for one of their specials. Everything looked good, there was this special sale, free shipping and all colours in stock when I ordered it. I even called them before I ordered it to make sure that I can have the colour that I want. Then came the "surprise", they emailed me that "they currently run out of stock". That pissed me off like hell. From then on it was a cat-and-mouse game where I will call them and ask where my unit is and they would tell me that they are expecting it to be shipped from France by "this week". And the weeks went by one after another. Seriously dude, can you imagine that I paid close to AU$3000 for this thing upfront and I have to wait for more than a month for the device? Maybe their product is so good that they really run out of stock. But who cares? Even Apple do not get cash upfront and keep us waiting. So I did the unimaginable, I called the credit card company and told them to get a charge back on my payment.
Then I went again looking for the next best thing. I was so desperate that I just went to one of the forum, read the reviews and bought a unit from a company called myESPIL which is based in the US but manufactured in South Korea. Can't believe that it was just US$295 and I almost forgot about it thereafter. Sure enough, this time I had a real surprise in that the myespil unit arrived on the 5th day and I used it religiously for about 3 months and I stopped. The next 3 months, I did not do anything on my arms and legs. And I am really proud to say, at 3 months after stopping the treatment with myespil, I am totally satisfied with the product. Myespil did not completely remove all the hairs but I got what I had wanted and for all the troubles that I went through, myespil is really my hero. I can't say anymore, if you can't lose any hairs with this one, then IPL probably is not suitable for you. Enough said.
I don't know any of you had this experience like this, but, I feel like $395 item should have been better than $295 item, but it is'nt. Am i the only one had this experience?
