Okay I have a somewhat stupid question.

I am looking for a really moisturizing cream/lotion for my face that isnt super thin or is going to break the bank. For some reason, the last two types that I have used (Olay and the Pro-Activ kind) are super thin, and Im wondering why this is? I feel like they dont even really moisturize. Is it because they contain SPF that they are so thin?

Just looking for some suggestions, combination skin sucks, and I am tired of dry skin, especially with cold weather setting in.

100% Pure Cosmetics has great moisturizers that feel thin but do the job. I love their organic pomegranate. It has SPF20 but doesn't leave a white sheen.

Lots of times, moisturizers are thin so they don't feel heavy on your skin and work well under makeup. I'd stick with a thin moisturizer with a built in SPF for the daytime (olay has a really good daytime one), but then at nighttime go for a night cream which tends to be heavier.

Well during the coldest winter months, i will apply something more greasy on my cheeks, just so that my face moisturizers won't be swipped away by the wind.

One you could try is Weleda's almond hydrating cream, or the rose moisturizers from Logona and Lavera, they are a little heavier in texture but feel very light and sink in quickly in your skin. They also have rose moisturizers for night time, but unless you want something thick i don't really recommend them.

I actually didnt even think about that! I guess it does make sense that they are thin for use with makeup. Im trying to get to a point where I wont need foundation regularly, I hate wearing it and I just want nice even skin.

I think Ill end up picking up some Olay, I have used that before and really liked it. Then maybe I will get something heavier for night use, thank you guys!

If you want to break away from foundation, have you thought of looking at a tinted moisturizer? I love the basic covergirl aqua smooth tinted moisturizer. I do use a regular moisturizer underneath it though (currently using Olay for Sensitive Skin).

Ill give it a try. I hope I can find something that suits me though, I am porcelain-white and its so hard to find anything that matches my skin tone.
