i have very dry and sensitive lips, so i always have a lipbalm with me, and i had to buy a new one. i'm a non official lipbalm tester lol. of course, monoprix didn't sell the blistex i wanted to try, so i had to choose among the other brands. and i did what i never did before with lipbalms : i checked the labels. i'm doing that for quite a time now, so i'm getting accustomed with some of the latin styled terms.

first i was disappointed when i saw dimethicone in one of my favorite lipbalms (silicones in lipbalms? :kopfkratz: ). it's dermophil indien, i don't think you have this brand in the us (?). here's a pic :

i then picked Garnier body repair.

it's "bodyrepair", so you know it's got to be a strong lipbalm, but i had a nice surprise when i saw listed with shea butter, beeswax and allantoin a familiar name : titanium dioxide ! woohoo. nice surprise to find a sunscreen when it's not written in big letters on the packaging. i checked all the labellos, and apart from the sun one (which i don't like btw) they don't have it. basically if i wanted a sunscreen (and sunny days are back here...), i had to choose either the labello sun or the garnier ski lipbalm (which was among the most expensive lipbalms). i'm really happy i managed to find a good lipbalm and save 1 euro in the process.:rockwoot:

i'll write a review later ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

I don't think we have either of those here.. the red one looks interesting. Haha, I feel so lame, I make all my lipbalm choices based on smell

By the way, just because a product contains titanium dioxide does not mean it has a sunscreen. Was it posted at the beginning or end of the ingredient list? If it was towards the end then it is not an active ingredient in the product, hence the reason why it was not posted on the label. Titanium dioxide and other UVA/UVB blocking ingredients must be present as an active ingredient in a sufficient percentage to be considered a sunscreen.

Just wanted to let you know because lots of sunscreen products out there are misleading. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

yeah i know. it was in the middle, so i figured it can be effective, but even if it isn't, when i apply sunscreen on my face i like to put also some on my lips :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
