My birthday is this weekend [19, woohoo! LOL], and my mom asked me what I wanted. I've been wanting to get a nice perfume, since I've never owned one before. I don't want to ask for something really expensive, but I'd still like it to be quality, and I'd rather it not be tested on animals... so my solution was to check out the ones from The Body Shop.

I'm leaning more towards getting a perfume oil, since apparently they last longer. But I'm open to whatever. I was wondering if anyone here uses or has used perfumes [either the eau de toilettes or the oils] from The Body Shop, and if they could tell me how the lasting power is... and maybe recommend some scents that you like. I've read some reviews and I've got my eye on possibly Cassis Rose, Neroli Jasmin or Spirit of Moonflower.

So... help a girl out? :rotfl:

Thanks!

I have not had the chance to use anything from The Body Shop at all :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I have heard good things about perfumed oils as well though!

Good luck!

i dont know about the perfumes.

but i have a few of theyre perfumed oils and i totally love them.

i have the liliac, tea rose, satsuma, and fuzzy peach.

my fav. is the liliac (but thats my fav smell in general).

they last so long too. like 3 hours later you can still smell it clearly. and you dont even need to put on a lot.

I'm not a fan of the Body Shop perfumes, they all give me a headache :scared:

Of the perfumed oils, I have, use and LOVE their coconut perfume oil, it is so good, really.. I get a lot of compliments on it. And men go crazy for it :hb:

I like satsuma, white musk, fuzzy peach, moonflower, and cotton (think that's what it's called).

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I went to the store and they didn't have a very good selection of the oils, I was pretty disappointed. I sniffed a bunch, and actually ended up getting the Neroli Jasmin EDT [they only had the bigger bottles of the oil in that scent and it was too expensive, LOL]. I really love it, it smells so good. It doesn't last very long, but I find all I need is a couple little sprays to refresh in the middle of the day and I'm good.

I also tried the Cassis Rose, but didn't like it as much... a little too soft/floral/powdery for me. The Neroli Jasmin is more spicy and sweet and has a kick to it that fits my personality better, I think :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I wouldn't normally use TBS perfume (but do love their body butters, etc) but I did get a GWP bottle of Cassis Rose and it's nice. I also noticed that they were selling a little set of small bottles in a make your own scent kit at christmas, which wasn't expensive - this would let you experiment!

i loved them, but all these scents, as usual in this kind of shop, gave me a headache, so i went out quickly.

I've been using body shop's Vanilla eau de toilette for two years now and I kinda like its sweet fragrance,Im sure you're going to like it. Anyway, you can check out at any Body Shop outlet in your area and do some product testing on their collection of perfumes and see which you feel suits you best. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have Satsuma and my bottle almost looks full even though I have been using it for almost two years=)

I like the Neroli Jasmine myself. The Rougeberry they're selling for HIV/AIDS awareness smells pretty good too, if you're into fruity smells.

I smelled the Rougeberry when I was there buying Neroli Jasmin... the sales girl asked me if I wanted to smell it and she sprayed it on a paper strip. I thought it smelled kind of funny, not exactly my kind of scent I guess. Funny thing though, I went to see my boyfriend after I was done shopping and he loved the smell of the Neroli Jasmin, but when I let him sniff the paper with the Rougeberry on it he said, "Eww, it smells like bathroom" :add_wegbrech: . I guess I see what he meant, to me it was like a really bad powdery/fruity air freshener, LOL!

Personally I love the vanilla edt. It's yummy smelling. Ok staying power too. ps: boys love this smell;)

have tried a few others too, but can't remember names.

I love the white musk fragrance, it has been a staple of mine since high school.

I use the Indian Gardenia perfume oil ( i received it as a gift) and it smells very pretty but its a little heavy so I don;t wear it that often.

I have 4 perfume oils from the Body Shop and I love them. I've got Japanese Musk, White Musk, Neroli Jasmin and Cassis Rose.

The Japense Musk and White Musk are the older style bottles while the Neroli Jasmin and Cassis Rose are the new bottles.

The lasting power is excellent and they're not oily. They rub in very well.
