I don't know if it's been mentioned yet...but using baking soda with water as a mask and or scrub will definitely get rid of the pimples along with the spots! But remember you have to test it for yourself to see if it works!

thanx for the links :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Baking Soda is just full of purposes. I like to mix mine w/Cetaphil Cleanser

Oh you are welcome! I know from experimenting and it has totally given my skin on my face a glow and even tone that i've haven't seen for a while! And it's cheap LOL.

I'm going to try this as I'm always looking for the next best thing to help my skin.

Aloe vera and baking soda

found this online

Tip description / details:

Gentle scrub that makes your skin, face and body so soft and smooth!

Ingredients:

Baking soda, Aloe Vera juice or gel (bottled or fresh...both work well)

How to prepare:

Put 1 cup of baking soda in a wide moth jar. Add just enough Aloe Vera juice or gel to make a smooth paste. If it turns out too wet, add a little more baking soda. Mix well.

How to use:

Apply to moistened face, or from head to toe, in the shower. Massage gently and rinse well.

Results (observed by submitter):

The scrubbing massage is in itself refreshing and invigorating! But the best result is felt as soon as you rinse off! You will hardly recognize the texture of your own skin. It feels deeply cleansed, so soft and smooth. I find this is an excellent alternative to soap, which always makes my skin feel rough and scummy!

Great recipe, i will try it tonight.

I do the oil cleansing method, and a few times a week i mix baking soda in the palm of my hand with my oil, and use that. My skin feels terrific afterwards.

Fanastic idea!1 I find the baking soda on its own or with a water based cleanser is a bit too abrasive, this sounds gentler..

Thanks for the tip!

i always use baking soda either alone or mixed w/ my facial cleanser.

it doesn't help me with my acne, but it helps keeps my skin looking good.

hmm im gonna have to try this. i use aspirin and love it. so im gonna have to give this one a try too.

Right now I am using Queen Helen oatmeal and honey scrub, which so far has worked excellent for me. I think I will try this too though. I hope it will work for me considering it's so cheap. Will let ya know if I see a difference!!

i think i may try it with glycerin and aloe like i do my aspirin mask/scrub. when i have done this before i only used water and it was really abrasive. is this anything more than a manual exfoliant? to me the spirin has a chemical exfoliation quality, i do like having both

I just tried baking soda mixed with aloe vera gel two nights ago and it did make my skin feel smooth.

My problem is that is never lasts long enough. I feel like I wake up in the morning and my skin is rough again.

I think I might try an enzyme peel from makeupartitschoice since I have used both glycolic and lactic acid peels previously.

i bought some baking soda tonight and used it as a scrub and my face is so smooth! i'm gonna try it with aloe vera tomorrow :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
