The 4 Ultimate Skin Care Sins

There are lot's of mistakes people can commit when it comes to their skin, but we've narrowed the list down to the 4 worst skin sins. Committing even one of these atrocities will cause at the least...unsightly, acned, or wrinkled skin.

1) Going to Bed with Makeup On

This is the quickest way to cause massive outbreaks of every nasty skin condition imaginable. This will trap dirt and bacteria, prevent your skin from breathing, and allow makeup to seep into your pores...

2) Over-Aggressive Skin Care

Too much of anything isn't good...especially when it comes to your skin. When you start putting irritating chemicals on it like cleanser, toner, face masks, and exfoliants, you're stripping the skin of its natural protection. To much tender loving care will cause irritations and outbreaks.

3) Tanning, Fake-baking, and Being in the Sun.

The sun is responsible for nearly 90% of the wrinkles that people get. It causes permanent damage to the skin's collagen and elastin...which can never be repaired. All of this can be avoided by simply using a sun block with an SPF of 15 or greater. Remember, wrinkles are not a natural part of the aging process.

4) Picking at Acne, Zits, and other Facial Surprises

Don't touch these guys...you'll only make the problem worse. Although these blemishes are embarrassing and unsightly, it's your body's way of trying to heal and kill an infection internally. When you rip your skin's handy work apart, you're forcing it to start the healing process all over again. This means the blemish will be around twice as long. Additionally, hacking at your skin can cause scarring.

I'm guilty of all of these except #3. I need to make a new years resolution not to do any of these again. And yes I agree, smoking is very bad for the skin.

That's the truth! Pair that with heavy drinking and poor nutrition and I guarantee anyone will look 20+ years older than their actual age. eeeep!

i can proudly say that i have not done #1 yet, in a while. The rest i have, yes, i am sinner. :icon_roll :icon_lol:
