First of all, I have never had a breakout like this. I am 35, and have only had a pimple here and there every once in a while, but all of a sudden, I broke out all on both of my jawlines. I think I had an allergic reaction to something because it looked like a rash on both sides of my face. I took Benadryl and used Benadryl gel on my face. It cleared up the rash after a few days, but now I am left with the cystic looking pimples on my face!

Right now on my right side of face, I have 3 huge painful pimples! I have been using over the counter treatments, but they have dried out my face severely (I was a dummy and used it all over face). Now I have dry scaly patches around my pimples, and on certain parts of my face. I do have a Clarisonic that I use on my face daily, and I have been using coconut oil on my face at night to help with dryness. When I am at work (12 hours), I've been wearing Joppa Mineral makeup because it doesn't seem as heavy as wearing liquid makeup, but my skin looks terrible with any makeup on, and it makes it feel even more dry. When I was at work, all I wanted to do was take off my makeup and slather my face in Vaseline! That's how dry it feels.

I am now using Apple Cider Vinegar on my pimples only, and Tea Tree oil. I am considering using Olive Oil on my face at night to see if that helps with the dryness. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I have tried Vaseline also and Cetaphil lotion but it does not seem to help.

breakouts along the jawline are more common in grown women..it's a change of hormone thing.

why don't you go see a dermatologist or your general practitioner, it's worth the money especially if it won't go away.

Coconut oil gave me a dry rash all over my face.  It aggravated my eczema.  I would switch to olive oil.  It won't clog pores but coconut will.

Try the Oil Cleansing Method.  It'll help both the dryness and the clogged pores.  I get pimples on the jaw line because I usually rest my chin on my hand along that area.  Bad bad me.

Yes, i also suggest the oil cleansing method, olive and castor oils are quite cheap and easy to find. You can also use the oils as a moisturizer, just apply a few drops.

I do like Diva, so i get a few pimples there too, and in fact i still have a small scar for that reason. I prefer to use lavender essential oil, by all means if tea tree oil works for you do'nt change it, but for me i found it was too harsh. I must admit i prefer the smell of lavender.

Forget about the mineral makeup. Although the zinc oxide is ideal because it calms the irritation (i use it for that reason too :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> ), it's also a powder, so it dries out your skin. At least, use a primer under it, i use MAC's prep&prime under my mineral foundation (i use Lumiere), it's a creamy type of primer in terms of texture, so i find it goes well with my dry skin.

Sounds like your skin care routine is a bit complicated.

I would return to your original program as well.

Always be aware that just because something is natural does not make it ok to put on one's face.

Crude oil is a good example.

Also, is there anything you are placing next to your face that is harbouring bacteria - cell phone, cordless phone, pillow cases?

Honey is one of the best natural acne fighting ingredients. This is because honey in effect kills the bacterium that causes acne. You can apply pure honey to your problem pimples after fully cleansing your skin. Keep the honey on your skin for ten minutes, then rinse off. This is a natural acne treatment that will make your pets want to lick your face.
