so my teeth are somewhat sensitive .. and so i used to use crest white strips but never finished them. they don't really bother my teeth .. but i recently started using crest vivid white toothpaste for day & night .. and i was wondering if you think it was be a problem if i used the toothpaste while using whitestrips .. or would colgate simply white be better?

 
I'm not sure, but if you use the strips make sure you don't use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth- there is something in there that will strip away the whitening product and you will get no results.

Oh IC....No wonder I didn't see the expected results after finish using the strips 3 weeks ago.
 
any whitening toothpaste will only remove surface stains, the crest white strips are a great alternative to going to the dentist to get them whitened, You need to use them for aprox one week to get optimal results,you may get some sensitivity but it will go away

as for the sensitivity toothpaste, it fills the microscopic holes in in your teeth to stop sensitivity.........the whitening products go into the microscopic hole and clean out the stain deep inside..........so yes wait until after your 2-3 weeks of whitening to use that type of toothpaste.

 
okay so everyone .. yesterday i started using whitestrips premium .. and my teeth got super sensitive .. so now a new question lol

after i take off the strips, can i use sensodyne to help the sensitivity?

well, i dont know what kind of condition your teeth are in, but i had horrible effects from the premium ones, and the pain didnt go away for days, so honestly i would quit using them for awhile!

although has anyone tried the white light system?

 
the Go Smile toothpaste or those vials? i've always wondered if they work? they cost so much and I'm always tempted but I don't want my money to go to waste....

From what I understand, any sensitivity that you experience while bleaching is temporary. I've used bleaching trays from the dentist before and they made my teeth and gums extremely sensitive... but, after my course was done.. my teeth were super white and everything went back to normal.. so, if the sensitivity is bearable.. I'd say just stick with it.

interesting info. i have always wanted to try the strips. finally i got my braces off but i'm gonna wait awhile before i do. i knew a girl who used it and her teeth were ghost white.
 
Any sort of strip can effect the enamel on your teeth.

GoSmile is the safest and most effective route you can take outside a dentist office. You can go into any Sephora and ask for a sample if you want to try it first. With most things, it's hard to see a difference after one use, but I think you'll be surprised at the result you'll get from one B1 ampoule. It is a little bit pricey, but if you are willing to maintain that perfect smile, it'll be worth it in the end.

 
i use hydrogen peroxid to whiten my teeths. i take a full cap and i keep it in my mouth for 10 minutes, while i shower. i have been using for 1 month every day and i see results. also, my teeth are less sensitive.

 
oo yea one more thing about the GoSmile... the B1's has 6 percent teeth whitener in it, whereas at the dentist for a treatment its up at 11. Any sort of drugstore brand is at 1 - so theres something to think about. The daily ampoules are at 1 as well, but they are for maintaining anyway...

I went to my dentist and he sold Rembrandt Oral B Whitening Strips. The hygientist told me my teeth were really yellow from coffee and smoking (stopped 20 years ago). She told me I would have to do the whitening 3 different times. In other words, after the first time wait about a month, and do it again, and wait a month or two and do it the 3rd time. Sometimes one time is not enough. I am on my way and I see a big difference. They are not yellow but not as white as I want them. You keep doing it until you are happy at last. They want $500 at the dentist, so any way you look at it doing it yourself is the best way. Just be patient.I dont really like the Crest ones. Think Rembrandt Oral B are the best.

I use Equate strips from Walmart, and I also just purchased a White Light which works great. I haven't had any problems with either.
