gahhh i bought this yesterday and the smell makes me sooo naseated! It's awful and didn't go away... when my boyfriend walked in the house he was like WHAT IS THAT. we opened like every window... it's supposed to be a disinfectant great for healing pimples but beware of the smell...

I've never used just the oil, but it is supposed a great pimple zapper because I think it's a drying agent...I love the body shop tea tree oil face wash, great for oily skin/blemishes. hth!

I learned at work that if you wash your hair with tea tree oil shampoo it gets rid of lice, and lice will not come anywhere near you. So its good if you got small kids in school and there's lice going around.

it is great against pimples, though i wouldn't recommend using it pure as it can burn the skin. it's also a good antiseptic and antifungal. here's an article from wikipedia that describes it a bit more.

but i agree, the smell is awful and strong.
