I have a whole bottle of this and I was wondering, what is the most effective way to use it? I tried using it once and it broke me out but I heard that soem products break you out before they start working sO i started using it again because I didnt really give it a chance, in all fairness. Right now I mixed it in my face cream [cetaphil cream] and I was wondering, is there any otherway you girls use it?

Thanks!

You can dab it on full strength to pimples, you can use it for rashes, diaper rashes, dandrufff, poison ivy, etc. You can use it in homemade cleaners... I LOVE the stuff! You can use it in SOOOO many things!!

Also I just dab the essential tea tree oil directly on the pimple too, bt i am bit confused as to whether the oil itself might clog my pores....hmmmmmm

Dab it on and use as a spot treat only!

Caution tho it might either burn your face or cause high irritations!

How does an oil help with acne? I have the tea tree oil mattifying gel from the Body Shop, and I just don't understand how that is supposed to work - which it does not by the way

I use this liquid kind and it dries them out really good!! It worked wonders for me when I first got it and now doesnt work well because I think my skin is used to it...but it deffinitely did at one point dry them out really nice. I wish it still did

i use an acne treatment with it in it. i've never used it on its own.

I have the soap and a pure liquid that I use as an antibacterial and antifungal on my feet and after shaving.

I hate the smell though..

Yes and also try dilute it with one drop of lavender essential oil if you hate the smell and or purified water if you worried about the irritations from using it.

Lisa loves tea tree oil, doesn't she? I've never used it before, unless there's some in products I've used... Come to think of it, it think my facial cleanser and moisturizer have tea tree oil in them... Hmm......

Leony- Thanks for that tip about using lavender essential oil with the tea tree oil...I too hate the smell, but now I know what to do about it!

Ditto! If it's good quality, it's very strong, be careful how much you use it.

I've found mixing Tea Tree Oil with water into a little spray bottle is a really refreshing face spray during the day and can also be used as a toner to combat spots and oily skin.

It's also really good mixed in a cup of warm water then used as a final rinse when washing your hair- it's great for shine, dandruff and the dreaded nits if you have children
