Hey everyone! I'm new here and wanted to ask a question that I've had for a while now.

I've been hearing lots of great things about Tea Tree Oil/Water and Green Tea, and I was just wondering what the difference is and which one is better for acne and bad blackheads (ME!)

Thanks so much guys!

I appreciate it!

tea tree oil never did anything for me. i like green tea. but i just drink it coz i like it. i have always been drinking tea since ever... so i guess that was not a big help. but i think the best thing is to try everything out and experiment. take some before and after pictures. and try more stuff to find something that works for you. i had many pimples on my back before. 100. when i started taking the pill they ALL went away.

i've just started using the body shop's line, and I think it has improved my skin, not too much, but still fewer breakouts.

Tea tree oil- Has natural purifying antibacterial properties and is known to help soothe blemished skin. Helps the Aboriginal co-operative to provide training for farmers and to develop pride in their tea tree heritage.

if you want to learn more, just go to The Body Shop: Tea Tree Oil, blemish, acne, oily skin, anti-bacterial, treatment, tea tree, tea tree oil, tea, tree, skin, blemishes, face, skin care

I think green tea helps your overall health because it contais antioxidants and it's also good for anti- aging.

Tea Tree Oil is an antibacterial agent that some people find effective in fighting acne/pimples.

People drink Green Tea as it's very good for you because it contains antioxidents. It's also used in beauty products for skin benefits but to my knowledge, it's not used for acne.

Hope that helped :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I've heard of some people putting actual green tea bags on their face for the antioxidants, but I've never tried it myself. I can't see how it could hurt, but I don't know if it will help either.

Tea Tree is good undiluted on the occasional spot but on your whole face or a large area of spots, it would have to be diluted, which i find makes it much less effective. Also I know tea tree is great on whiteheads but I've never had any success with it on blackheads- the only thing that works on mine are Dermalogicas Dermal Clay and Anti Bac Skin wash with TBS re-texturizing peel

Green tea is good for anti-ageing and using the tea bags as you would chammomile (spelling?) tea bags on your eyes is lovely (using peppermint bags is great for a wake up treat too!)
