Tea tree oil made my nose swell lol

Right now my nose is swollen and im pretty sure its from applying tea tree oil to the corners of my nose and that caused the swelling probably from my sinsus and nasal passage absorbing it...So yesterday i woke up with the tip of my nose looking hugeee. It's not so bad but its annoying having larger nose then normally and a few ear aches and headaches that comes with it.

Antihistamines sometimes help allergic reactions - your pharmacist might know a good remedy to bring down the swelling.

I read on another thread that tea tree oil can be too strong so it needs to be diluted. Regardless, one can still have a reaction to it.

Im going to ask my pharmacy tomorrow..but i love tea tree oil on my pimples i cant give it up im DEFINATLY going to keep it away from my NOSE

Ouch, sorry to hear that! You're braver than I am though.. I can't bring myself to put it anywhere near my nose..lol

Maybe diluting it in coconut oil or some other sort of carrier oil will make it less irritating to you.

im fine now i was put on some pills and benadyrl and now i am normal lol again

lots of people have reactions to it. I'd try diluting it in a little witch's hazel (also great for pimples).

if u smell it from the bottle its pretty nice actually. u can miz it with water or green tea i mix it with green tea it gives a very nice mint smell and its not too concentrated it makes your skin red . my skins been fine after i start using it . i still get ocasional potential small pimples but thats becoz i wont keep myself from fries. so try it out /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
