Why would anyone risk something so drastic at home???? Makes me go hmmmm... This should definitely be done in a Dr's office by someone knowledgeable! You could end up with some very serious scarring and who ya gonna call, Ghostbusters?

Lol!!!! i agree! i would never attempt something like this at home. you've got to be a really gutsy person to attempt something like this, IMO.

EEK!! I'm hoping she knew what she was doing, not just putting it on on a whim. Scary. Their description says it's a 100% strength solutions they're selling, but that can't be right. You'll burn chunks of your face off with that!!

I actually bought stuff from her, yes it's 100% but she does send you lots of lovely instructions and warnings to water it down first! You're not supposed to put it on your face as 100%, even glycolic acid at 100% will burn your face off.

i'm kinda interested in trying it now. i have some glycolic acid pads that i bought at my derm.. and it's kinda giving me the same effect in certain areas.. but, i'm not supposed to be using the pads & differin gel at the same time so maybe that has something to do with it. so is tca way stronger than glycolic acid in general?

Yes TCA is like SCARY strong! If you do it READ EVERYTHING you can about it! The downtime is really scary, you can turn brown and leatherlike and then peel off! It's not something to just dabble in, if you do it start with 8% or 12%, nothing stronger than that...

Yeah, I would start with a low %, and you can always increase it as you go a long. Better to be safe than sorry!
