i admit i got sucked into the marketing of this product and i'm not surprised others did, too, because now it's sold out everywhere! it was featured in allure's last issue as one of the "cult products".

we don't carry this line at the sephora i work at, so i went to another, sold out, and another, sold out, online, sold out. not that i don't have other things to exfoliate my lips with, i just wanted it, dammit!

anyone use this? anyone been looking for this, too?

What it is:

A sugar-based lip exfoliant and lip balm stick.

What it is formulated to do:

Whatever your oral affliction, Tarte has got just the Rx for you! One side of this stick contains brown sugar grains to scrub your pout smooth, and the other side, a vitamin E balm to help soothe dryness.

if you guys want a cheaper version, i was in target today and i saw that the sally hansen brand has one just like that.

so you guys might wanna try it out.

body shop has an exfoliating stick also, and kenzoki has an exfolient/ balm duo as well. If you want something cheaper, mark has a lip exfolient for only five bucks, and it gives a little more than the usual amount for a lip balm

I don't understand why people would pay extra for something like this when they can just use a wet washcloth and some regular lip balm. Sorry if anyone actually swears by these things, I guess I'm just a cheapskate =).

well, why do you scrub your face? you could just rub a toothbrush all over your face...or not. It is just what people prefer.

Jen, this is in-stock now at drugstore.com. I got an email confirm that they shipped mine yesterday. We'll see when I get it. I really need a good lip exfoliating... and at $11.. i'll take a chance with it. Plus I really love the tarte products I have. Thanks for letting us know about this!

Oh, and I got free shipping b/c I ordered it a couple weeks ago when it was out of stock... that was nice. I never knew they shipped something free because it was out of stock.
