Hello!

I have a wedding in the beginning of May, and I am so white, it's crazy! I really want to be bronze for this wedding, like really tan. Not an orangy too "fake bake" tan, but a nice, bronze, healthy look. The problem is, I am so white, I can't even find makeups that don't give me a makeup line, that's how pale I am. If I use a tanning lotion and tan every other day or every day will I be able to get tan? And how should I start out? 5 minutes? Then work my way up to like 15 minutes? I don't know much about tanning beds, can someone help me?? Thanks!

i would start out with maybe 5 minutes, then work your way up to 7, 10, 13, 15, 20...you can't go over 20 min in one session. just be careful so you don't overdo it . people with fair skin will BURN & peel..so you just gotta be easy.

yes I am normally so white its ridiculous... it tkaes me a month of tanning daily or every other day to get a tan start out at 5 then slowly increase by 2 minutes... Make sure u have a good tanning bed lotion too

I can not begin to tell you how strongly I feel AGAINST tanning beds. They are down right dangerous..

Scott Barnes has this amazing product called Body Bling, I am very pale myself, and this gives a nice gorgeous sunkissed glow, perfect for a wedding. I went to a wedding recently actually and the bride was wearing it, and it looked really natural.

Try spray tanning instead! I love it and its fast and easy. I think its called Mist something......also you can pay someone to spray tan you instead of standing inside the spray tanning room thing.

i wouldnt tan.

you said you are naturally pale. and i know you said you want to be bronzed for the wedding but that is not how you look normally and i am a purist when it comes to weddings and i think people should be as natural as possible

I would strongly advise against getting a tan, be it from sun exposure or tanning beds. A tan is a sign of skin damage and can lead to premature aging and skin cancer.

My skin is naturally pale. I used to go to the seaside while a kid but after that for like..10 years never got a tan from sun exposure. I tried several times tanning lotions but they're not good in summer when it's hot and you sweat more than in winter. Anyway..I got tired and I started going to a tanning salon. I'm still going and never got my skin burnt. It's a vertical sunbed, which I think are better. I had to go for like one month to see a little tan on my body. But now I go once a week to maintain it. I know the risks and all that but I have a different vision of life.. I choose to live a short happy life than a long lousy life.
