Sunscreen questions

1) I've never gotten a sunburn in my entire life although I've always been lazy with sunscreen.. but my darkish olive skin gets too dark for my liking in the summer /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Can a good sunscreen prevent my skin from getting much darker?

2) Can you recommend a good, drugstore sunscreen that's inexpensive? The reason I'm looking for one so inexpensive is because I need to reapply SO much.
