Just be patient with the peeling stage and then you should be fine. I hope you are not sunburned too badly. If so, take a bath with vinegar and it will take the sting out

I got sunburned two weeks ago and my arms skin started peeling off. I'm using St. Ives Aloe Vera body lotion and my condition is getting better. No redness, itchiness, or peeling off anymore. Aloe Vera is a great ingredient to sooth and cure sunburned skin. Also, I agree w/ Katie that taking cool shower is helpful too. The other thing is you've to reduce the chances of your skin to expose to the sun. It might take may be 2 to 3 months to have your normal skin color back and it is depending on how severe the condition is and how fast your skin heals.
after a month of being exposed to the sun, start exfoliating with a very soft exfoliator(i.e. the natural stuff in kitchen oats, strawberries anything..) and keep on moisturzing..
oh, and i heard that a yughort and honey mask twice daily is good for lightening the skin.
stay away from bleaching or whitening creams and rough exfoliating, they may cause u a prob with milanen (i dont know how to spell it lol) as in a major problem with skin pigmentaion in all over ur body!
