I'm looking for a good exfoliator, for combo sensitive skin, that it won't be very strong! Any suggestions??

I'm not sure if you can get this brand over there Soph.. but i use an exfoliater by Aapri. Its so good for my combi skin that i can use it day & night. Its not harsh at all.

Sophia i don`t know if you have Yves Saint Laurent. But i`m using the Instant Pur Gommage sans grains from this. It has no particles in it, so it`s good for sensitive skin. It is in a gel from and for me it`s doing a good job!!! HTH.

Sophia, believe it or not, I use baking soda --very inexpensive, and very gentle. You just work a little of it into a paste with either some water or your regular cleanser.

Sophia--I started using Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Refiner (for face) this spring, after years of fairly unsatisfying attempts with other exfoliaters(they broke me out, or were too rough, or just didn't seem to "polish" my skin--which is combination/sensitive.)This is an extremely gentle but really deep cleaning, thorough refiner that actually seems to make my pores look significantly smaller after I use it--and the skin much, much smoother. I hope you have this brand in Greece--anyway, I defintely would reccomend it!

I second the baking soda. I just started using it after reading about it on here and i'm very happy with the results. It's not harsh at all, is very effective, and cheap!

Last night I took a pea size of Estee Lauder's Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser and worked it into a good lather. I spread it on my face and then I pored some baking soda in my hands and rubbed them together with the remaining cleanser and then massaged it on my face. It felt so good! I think mixing it with a creamy cleanser like this works best. The first time I tried the baking soda, I mixed it with my normal cleanser which was a different consistency and it didn't work as well. I think the baking soda works just as well or better than any other exfoliant i've tried before and it's waay cheaper!

If you have access to non-enteric aspirin, then dissolve a few and add this in your palm to your regular cleanser for a scrubbing, exfoliating cleanser. It's not as strong as leaving it on your face for 15 minutes (aspirin mask) but it gives some chemical exfoliation plus adds texture to your regular cleanser for a light manual exfoliation.

I've used this before and it's really cool! It feels like honey going on the face, but after a minute of massaging, it turns 'liquidy'. I 2nd this for sensitive skin!

I like baking soda and especially the Aspirin tx. Lately I have been using this kit I bought Shoppers-it is Life Brand and its affordable and seems to be working pretty well.

I use St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub... its a drugstore brand so its really cheap, but works beautifully! It was also won one of Allure Magazine's reader's choice awards :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />!

My dermatologist told me to cleanse and exfoliate with a Buf Puf sponge and Cetaphil or Dove bar soap! I have very oily skin prone to clogged pores but these soaps are so gentle it should work for most anyone, just make sure you don't scrub too hard with the sponge!

I've been using Kiehl's Pineapple Papaya scrub for years. It's gentle enough on my skin that I use it about 4-5 times a week. The granules aren't harsh on my skin and the mixture really seems to loosen the blackheads & dead skin cells.

I'm not a fan of the St. Ives scrubs. I think the granules sre rough & harsh on my skin.

Hello Camaro Chick and Little Lisa.... I'm Lovin' the Baking Soda idea!!! I've got Kiss My Face Organic Jojoba and Mint one right now..and well...let's just say...IT AINT KISSIN' my face...it more like Cloggin' My Pores.

Many Thanks!

Elisabeth

I use Dr.Brant's Microdermabrasion In A Jar. Its a pretty good exfoliator and you only need to do it 1- 2x week max! The jar lasts quite a while although its a bit pricey :icon_eek:

I use the baking soda (mixed w/gentle cleanser) and Clinique's exfoliating scrub (not the 7 day). I alternate between the two of them. I like them both for my acneic/combo and lately sensitive skin.:icon_razz
