Hello,:icon_chee
Has anyone here ever used Bio Oil on stretch marks? I heard it works really well. I just ordered it online lol and was wondering if anyone has used it and could tell me if it was good. I know different things work for different people. Also, massaging the stretch marked area is said to work.
Thanks so much!

Welcome to MuT!!!

I've used Bio-Oil, but for acne scars which is another of the problems it's advertised to sort out! I used it regularly and it didn't work, no noticeable change due to the product. They fade over time as the skin is renewed, and as it took time for any scars to lighten, i don't put it down to this product.

I have now finished the bottle, and won't be repurchasing although it did make my skin feel nice and soft. It's a dry oil so felt moisturised without a sticky feeling.

Perhaps someone else has used it for stretch marks specifically, or if not can recommend something else to help :)

Thank you all for your input, i truely appreciate it. I have used Retin A cream for my acne scars (which were from just one really bad break out since i scar easily) and they are nearly gone and it has been about 2 and a half months using it every night. I got it from my doctor. I am thinking i might try it on my stretch marks to see if it helps reduce the appearence. I do know it wont get rid of them, but it may lighten them. Has any one else tried Retin A? And i will let u know how Bio Oil works for me, some times different things help different people. Thanks again, your information helps alot

i know vitamen e oil is really good for scars which is the same as stretch marks. also cocoa butter, but for them to work good you have to really use them and when the scars are fresh. it might not completely take it away, but can help it not be as bad. my baby had surgery on his back last yr. and i've been putting vit. e oil on it and the scar looks really good. and about the breast pills. i haven't found any that work so far but have you heard of the brava bra? they use to only have it in dr. offices but you can order it now. if you want to check it out go to brava.com. i'm thinking about getting it.

Wow thats pretty interesting! I have never heard of it before. Sounds good though. If you get it you must share how it is! I am not looking for any pills for me, but i am doing a project on breast enhancment. I will let u know my findings though. I guess i have more things to add to it! I hope to set up an informational web site to help women, But we shall see, it takes a lot of research and time! Well thank you so much!

P.S. thanks for the feed back on the oil too!

I agree, regardless of whatever kind of stretch mark cream you use, there isn't one that's going to absolutely remove all the scars, creams are basically made to fade and lighten them a little. Because that is my problem area, stretch marks because I have two little boys, and I carried them big in my stomach. I use Palmer's Coco Butter lotion the kind designed for the tummy, it comes in a tub and they sell it at Walmart or any other kind of drug store. It helps to soften and lighten the marks, but I know the only way to remove the marks is basically surgery. So, I know I'm not trying to go under the knife....so I have to just embrace them......I accept them as special marks because my two little precious boys are what I have to show for it.

aw, i have 2 little boys too. a 91/2 month old and a 4 yr. old. i got a few stretch marks on the upper part of my thighs kind of on the side. but that's it. not bad . i did get spider veins though which i hate more.
