STAY LOOKING HOT ON HOLIDAY
WHEN going abroad, do you change anything about your beauty regime?

When you think about it, you are probably going to a hotter climate, so your skin will be under attack from almost the second you step off the plane. In fact, before the second you step on the plane!

That's why it's so important to 'feed and water' your skin when you're on board, because we all know how dehydrating those claustrophobic cabins can be.

Your skin can become flaky or over-oily trying to cope with the skin-wrecking conditions. But if you follow these tips, you'll step off the plane before and after your holiday looking refreshed and radiant.

Step 1: Don't drink too much. OK, so you are going on holiday, but that doesn't mean you have to get wrecked before you get there. Acouple of wine spritzers should suffice. Alcohol only dehydrates you and your skin. So if you are drinking, make sure you drink water in between each alcoholic drink. And a fruit juice thrown in will help too.

Step 2: Hydrate your skin on the plane. Treat yourself to a travel pack of goodies. They are full of skin conditioning treats and opening all those little bottles will give you something to do if you don't fancy the in-flight entertainment.

Step 3: Use a high factor skin cream. We recommend the highest you can get, so buy one suitable for children. Don't worry about coming home pale, does that bother world beauties Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow? No, and they've got amazing skin. If they want to look tanned, they just fake it.

Step 4: Buy a hat and scarf. You may be going to the sunshine, but if you want to look great when you get back, protect your face and your hair. The sun instantly wreaks havoc on your hair, especially if you have highlights, so if you want the colour to remain intact, then you should protect it. If you can't handle a Princess Grace-style scarf, slick it back with conditioner. And for headgear, cowboy hats are still in and give great protection.

Step 5:Keep your make-up to a minimum. You are on holiday after all. Take no more than 10 items. What more do you need after all? Think lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliners, waterproof mascara' liquidlast liner from MAC in auqualine - never comes off no matter how long you spend in the pool, concealer, lip gloss, nail polish, blush and make-up remover. That's all you need. Forget the foundation for the fortnight.
