Static on my brush

I just bought a new brush and everytime I brush with it it makes my hair full of static. Can I spray something on the brush to get the static off it? SHould I wash it with soap and water?

What kind of brush is it? Is it natural bristled or a metal barrel? I use static guard - seems to help a lot. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

its metal. i don't have static guard /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I wonder if washing it with soap would help

You could try, but honestly I don't know how long it would help... if it even does. Maybe rub a dryer sheet on it?

if water doesn't help try hairspray and let it dry. or maybe something for clothes to get static out.

yea spray it with hairspray, let it dry, and then use it. That should help

The only thing I have used is static spray for clothes (whatever brand, dont care) or dryer sheets, as others mentioned above. the hairspray sounds like a good idea though, I may try that, on the 5 days here in hot Florida that it actually get cold enough to have staticy hair. Isnt everyone jealous? :icon_lol:

when i have that problem with static, after i brush, i'll just simply smooth my hair down with my hands.
