I'm using it to lighten my face skin's redness from old acne. I'm hoping my face tone will begin to match the fair skin tone of my body.

luckily I don't seem to be sensitive to it. no irritation.

For anyone that has used it, what sunscreen should I use so I don't get darker?

Any high spf sunscreen should work. Just be sure they have UVA-blocking ingredients: avobenzone, titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide. I'll sing the praises of Neutrogena Dry Touch forever.

Because the AHAs are buffered (the 70% solution thing on the bottle) you're getting less than 10% AHA - more like 8%. It shouldn't be irritating. Just avoid anything harsh on your skin while you're using it - menthol, camphor, citrus extracts, etc. You definitely don't need to scrub; the AHAs act as an exfoliant and scrubbing will make your marks more red. I know from stupid experience.
