Spironolactone

iv read in a thread that spironolactone helps with excess hair an oil, has anyone ever tried it before?

I've been on this for a year now and yes, it has definitely controlled the oil on my face and it has improved my complexion.......that and also minocycline (and this was before my new skincare regimin which has only increasingly helped!). Since I've had problems w/ redness and too much oil, I have to take these 2 and I can notice a difference if I've stopped taking them a few days. I was unaware of serious side effects. I guess I will have to do some more research to see what some of those might be.

I've never even heard of it. Is it a topical or oral?

I have heard of this med given for Liver problems/Cirrhosis..but not for anything else. Very interesting!

Ehhh..unless you need it for Hypertension or Congestive Heart Faliure I would not really try to get it. It can also have a lot of side effects.

thanks for posting, ill never try it now i never knew it was for high blood pressure, kidneys etc i just thought it helped with excess oil/hair :icon_eek:
