If you are an Ipsy subscriber you got a SOHO Brush in your January bag. You either received the concealer, eyeliner or crease brush.

Top to bottom: concealer, eyeliner, crease brush

Decsription from Ipsy.com:

SOHO “Get a Grip†Concealer Brush
Cover up little flaws and dark circles using the Get a Grip Concealer Brush. Start with the inner eye area, working down around the eye, dabbing lightly until completely blended.
· Silky Nylon Bristles – Hide & Defy
· Tri-Grip Handle – Fits Perfectly in Hand

SOHO “Get a Grip†Eyeliner Brush
Define eyes with the Get a Grip Eyeliner Brush. Starting with the upper lash line, delicately trace the eye from the inside corner working towards the outside. Repeat on bottom lash line. Perfect for wet or dry eyeliner.
· Firm Nylon Bristles – Line & Define
· Tri-Grip Handle – Fits Perfectly in Hand

SOHO “Get a Grip†Crease Brush
Create the perfect eye with the Get a Grip Crease Brush. First apply a neutral base eye color to the entire eyelid. Then apply a darker color to the eyelid crease – this will add dimension and depth. Finish the look by applying a shimmery highlight color to the inner corner of the eyelid and along the brow bone.
· Natural Hair Bristles – Blend & Contour
· Tri-Grip Handle – Fits Perfectly in Hand

So did you get one of these? What did you think? Would you recommend these to a friend?

I received a concealer brush. I like the tri grip, but have been using this for my cream shadows, notably the Maybelline tattoo pots. Never used this brand before, so it was nice to try something different and new to me.

Is this not the same brand that Walmart is carrying now? I was just there yesterday & am sure that I saw these brushes in various packages hanging on a display. I'm in Canada so I'm not sure if they're in stores in the US, but you guys normally have access to far more than we do, and at much lower prices. Although these brushes are by no means expensive. I believe the most expensive one was around &8 (?)

Maybe I'm spoiled with Sigma and Bdellium Tools but honestly I don't really care for the SOHO brushes. The handles are just too long for me and the quality is okay - not that great but certainly not bad just not for me. If it were a couple of inches shorter I probably would use it more often but I just don't care for long brushes due to the fact I'm nearsighted so the longer the brush the more difficult it is for me to use on myself.

I don't like the Soho brushes. As Zadi said, they are too long and I think the quality of the brush part itself is crap.

Walmart is carrying another brand here, too. It's called Spa Resource. Apparently a Canadian company because the website address stamped on the brushes is sparesource.ca. They're stinking cheap. Many are only around $2.50 each. They *are* really good quality. Overall they're cheaper than the SOHO brushes, feel much nicer & are put together better. I was able to compare both brands in the store because they have a brush sampler for each brand. But I still do prefer my Sigma & Real Techniques brushes over both brands.

I received the concealer brush & I'm not a big fan of it. I don't feel like it applies the concealer as well as some of my other concealer brushes. I'll have to try it as an eyeshadow brush for my cream shadows, maybe it will work better.

I have all 3 and I actually really like them :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I use the crease one for blending and for the crease area. The liner one for lining and to define my eyebrows. And the concealer one for concealer and cream eyeshadow. I've had them for like 3 months and they haven't shed one bit :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i have mainly sigma and real techniques brushes but i think that the SOHO brushes are good... i received the crease brush and it's fluffy and soft :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> it gets the job done so no complaints here ;D

Thanks.  I wanted to see if they have a different style then the ones I have.  I also need to stock up again.
