I normally use a small hand towel for my face (I have a few of them and use each only 2 or 3 times before washing). These are getting a little old and need replacing.

Can anyone let me know what the softest/least irritating towels are? Would a baby towel be best?

Thanks.

I've found, IMHO, baby towels don't seem to absorb well. Or they get drenched and need to be rung out... Egyptian cotton towels are good.

The softest towel is a new towel! I really don't know though, whatever I got at bed bath and beyond is pretty soft.

i prefer terry cloth ! but thats just me, i have a few that use and they are super soft especially the longer you have them!

My dermatologist told me never to use wash clothes to wash the face. After one washing, bacteria accumulates. And they are too coarse, regardles of the material. He advises to only use hands & a gentle cleanser to wash the face.

they have some new micro-fiber towels i've been wanting to try in my services. they're supposed to be super absorbent and extra soft. i have one of those turbi-twist wraps made from micro-fiber and it works great.

Whatever towel you do decide to get, make sure you wash it before you use it! Little pieces of new towel will be all over your face lol. It's happened so many times.. :screams:
