i hate reading smoking is a drug e.t.c because it wont change what i think, to tell the truth whenever i hear or read about smoking it make me want to light up just like now. yes i smoke, since i was 15.

i never tried to quit because i never wanted to. however i swore that when im going to start trying for a baby and before even then ill quit and i will because its not just about me anymore. after that i wont start because ill be breastfeeding and after that ill have a young child to care for so that will be the end of it.

I have never smoked...cigarettes..hehe.

I actually can't stand it. My BF smokes and I can't stand to be around him when he does. Sorry, it just stinks. Oh and it makes my throat scratchy and dry.

I stopped smoking about a year ago. I think there is something on-line about it. I thought I would go crazy--I didn't want to quit--I had to. I really was getting health problems from it. But I will tell you this: I loved smoking, and I still miss it everyday. If I could have a cig 10 miles long, I would smoke it now. But, had to quit.

I have never smoked, and never will. Most of my friends don´t, and my fiancé doesn´t smoke either. An ex of mine smoked and not only did I not want him to smoke when I´m with him but I also tried my best to help him quit...he smoked secretly. By then I gave up, if it´s a person´s wish to destroy their health, then fine. They all know of the dangers, so it´s their decision to continue.

See that´s what I LOVE about the US..the no-smoking policy. When I go out over here (be it a club, bar or restaurant) I smell like a freakin ashtray when I get home. I have to wash everything, and sometimes the smell even stays in my hair after I wash it.

There´s just no way to escape it and I hate how non-smokers have to endure all this. We really need to catch up with other countries on that matter.

I started smoking when I was in 8th grade. Then I quit several years ago. Best thing I ever did...also the hardest thing I ever did.

I will never smoke not only do I have asthma, which I know doesn't stop most people, but when I was younger my grandmother's lung collapsed and she actually died and came back and quit after that. I was like 4 or 5 when it happened. Both of my grandfathers had emphysema and one died from it and his wife (not the one that smoked before) is beginning to show early signs of it.

My boyfriend used to smoke but he quit for me.

I never have and never will. I think it's disgusting and it grosses me out when others do it around me.

I have overdosed on carrot sticks but if I thought I wanted a cig, I put a carrot in my mouth. It was extremely hard and remember I did it for 25 years. The first week is the worst, the 2nd was a little better and now I just want one but don't "need" one anymore......and to those that don't think it's a drug, I beg to differ, but I'll leave it at that.

I just remembered I once started topic on this, if anyone wants to read

smoking is bad for you and has a social stigma?? get out!

i smoke so others can feel superior to me.

I don't. Three guys I work with do, and they all have the same gross smell to them, and their breath is soo awful I avoid talking to them as much as possible..

I could never date a smoker! Yuck.

Nope, don't smoke. Have tried it before, thought it was sooo vile and never have since.

Ok all this smoking talk is seriously making me want one. I'm not looking at this thread anymore ;-)
