Smoke outside my windows!!

oh my gosh outside of every window in my house is filled with smoke from the fires!!! the usual beautiful scenery of the mountains is covered, you can see little tiny patches of blue sky but 95% of the sky is brown and disgusting!! i called the fire department (not an emergency) just to ask if we were in any danger, and they just advised us to stay inside and keep windows closed, when i opened my window earlier all this black ash fell into my windowseal!! it's crazy!!!

thanx everyone. everything looks orange!!? lol!! cuz i guess the smoke and stuff is covering the sun and everything its reflecting on is making it look bright orange, even the ground, uggh! i hope they get the idiot who started the fires!

thanx everyone!!! it seems like its getting worse instead of better! at least before you could see little specks of the sky, now the entire sky is a disgusting brown color! and if i open my window just a little it literally smells like burning wood!!

Today the sky is orange like where you are and the smell of wood burning.

Stayed home from work today and keeping the windows closed.

I am so grateful that I am not in any of the fire areas, there was one up here a few years back, it was so freaky. These ones are just nuts, it's so hot and dry outside, we need rain desperately. The smoke has started coming into the foothills now. My thoughts are with all of you in the fire areas and I send my best wishes for your safety.

I was watching the news about the fires, how awful and scary! It would be wonderful if a heavy rain started and stayed around for a few days or more.
