Smells good but doesn't work

do you use products that smell really good (in your opinion), but doesn't work for crap?

for example, i use this body wash (by suave) that smells of coconuts, but doesn't moisturize my skin at all. i don't care, though, because i love the scent!

St. Ives body wash really smell good when you are lathering them on, but once you rinse you can't smell anything.

Theres a few moisturisers like that, i always seem to buy them! smell good in the bottle but when it comes to goin out i find i cant smell it anymore /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I picked up a Got2Be scrub in "brown sugar mango apricot". I love the smell, but it doesn't exfoliate at all! it's like a goopy body wash or something, but it smells so good.

I have a Suave shampoo that smells good, but doesn't do anyhting for my hair. I also have a bunch of lotions that smell good, but don't work so well.

I have so many bath and body products that I can't keep track of everything.. Usually if the stuff doesn't work for me I'll toss it into my round robin box even if it smells good.

same thing happened to me when i got it as a sample! good thing i didn't buy the big one.

I also love the smell of a lot of Suave stuff...wonder what they put in it?

I love their body wash in Ocean or Sea Breeze..and their hair spray in Freesia smells so wonderful I have almost had guys faint over the smell they say it is so good. But as a hair spray, it really sucks...so sometimes...I um...kind of use it as a :icon_winkBody Spray:icon_wink. LOL.

Same here! I'm mad about anything that smells of coconut and now you mention it, I'm not sure any of the products did work that well. lol I'm just addicted to the scent I guess! :icon_chee

There is a loton that is Cotton Candy Fantasy by Parfums de Coeur. It's a cheapie..and does little to mositurize..but smells so yummy.

I have a Nutrimetics Strawberry Shower Gel that smells divine. It laters nicely too... but doesn't leave any scent on my skin. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

ditto here! Coconut, cocoa butter and vanilla for me. I always get sucked into buying new lotions coz I love the smell but they never do anything special for my skin

Philosophy's Strawberry Milkshake 3 in 1. Smells delish but works like crap. I actually returned mine cause I was bothered that I spent $18 on something that sucked! Now everytime I go by the Philosophy display, I just sigh.

I will use up a product that smells good but I will never purchase a product just for the smell. A good example is Herbal Essence conditioner in some sort of rainforest flower scent -- smelled great but did not detangle as good as the regular Herbal Essence conditioner, so I used it up but didn't buy any more!

I love Amazing Grace! Not only does it smell wonderful, It leaves my skin silky soft! This one both smells great AND works! Pure Grace is also nice!!
