Adapted from The Essential Oils Book by Colleen K. Dodt (Storey Books, 1996).
This sweet-smelling, soothing blend was originally formulated to get children through some of the emotional lumps and bumps of growing up, but it also works beautifully to help adults unwind after a day’s stresses and strains. (Note from Cait: this reminds me of an aromatherapeutic bubble bath I used with my son when he was little called something like "Cranky Baby" that never failed to put him in a good mood when he was fussy. One day I was so frazzled that I tried it myself - and it really helped!) This is a lovely way to relax and get ready for some sweet dreams.
SIMPLE SOLUTION: INGREDIENTS 2 drops ylang-ylang essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil
Add essential oils to tub full of warm water and mix well. Now get into the tub, slowly sinking down until as much of you is submerged as possible. Soak for at least ten minutes, with your eyes closed, simply breathing in the scent.
