hey girls.. a while ago I remember reading a post about eczema. Well I'd forgotten about this remedy my mum used to use when I was little. It may help you too!

It's also great for softening the skin. I didn't think much about it because I was really little when I tried it, but it's really relaxing and simple

Grab an old sock or a stocking or whatever material you like.

stuff it with a handful or more of regular oatmeal that you use to make porridge.

throw it in when you're running your next bath, and squeeze it to get all the goodness out of it!

it really softens up your skin, but when I was a kid I used to chew on the material because i liked the texture. It used to stop the eczema from itching too. Hope it's of some use to someone!

good luck! eczema is awful, so hopefully this recipe is some use! and if it's not, hey, you've prolly got enough oatmeal left over for breakfast anyway! 2 solutions in one heeheehee

Hi! I just posted this on another thread...

My daughter had mild eczema and virgin coconut oil was the "medicine" we use. Everyday (unless we're rushing out to run errands), we apply VCO on her from head to toe about 20 minutes before her bath and we have her sit on her all-wood high chair so she doesn't grease the whole place up :) and so far she's been eczema-free for a good year, her skin is soooo soft and her hair is starting to grow thicker (she was a baldy for a while...haha!).

I should have been following her regimen but been too lazy. But you guys put me back on board...I have VCO on my hair & scalp as I type. :)

Hope this helps!
