Anyone here had any facial skin procedures, like microdermabrasion, dermabrasion, sergical, laser, etc.? If yes, please post what you've had, the results, how many treatments, etc.

I'll be getting 6 treatmens of microdermabrassion... either soon or at the end of August & it's freacking expensive too... $1000. and also will be getting YAG laser which is $150.

I wish I could get that laser treatment for broken capillaries around my nose,

they really bother me. Keep us posted on how your treatments are going,

I would be interested on how dramatic the results are.

I've had microdermabrasian on my face done -but since I went to Chinatown in NYC- it was $47 per session - and I paid her $5 for a tip (since I went to her a lot back then) and so it was only $52 per session. I've had about 6 now -but I haven't been going as frequently. My skin has improved ten fold since I started and back when I went every few weeks - at least 2 people per week would ask be what I used on my skin because it looked really good. It is worth every penny - but then again - would I say this if I spent the normal $150 per session that other spas in NYC charge?

I have had 4 microderms done and am going again on Monday for another one. I think they work very well. I have hyperpigmentation on my face that I need help with. I am also going next month to get my veins zapped by lazer on the sides of my nose so hopefully they will disappear.

My microderms here in eastern Washington are $65 per session. The lazer will be $89 per session.

_withoutYou_ let us know how the laser treatment and microdermabrasion works out, I know I am especially interested to know how well it works for you. If I could afford to spend that kind of money on my skincare I know I would!

didn't u post in a recent thread saying u were using baking soda instead of microdermabrasion cuz microdermabrasion is too expensive ... I could never spend that much on my face .... I'm happi w/Dr. Brandt @ home MDB in a Jar. that combined w/glycolic peel .. .cost me just about $100 and I've gotton realli good results ..

well .. let us know how it goes

thank you for your replies, girls!

yeah, i'll keep you guys updated. i really hope it gives me good improvement... i've already had my consultation with my derm and that's what he recommended but i have another consultation on tuesday with the lady who will actually be doing the procedure. and if i like the results, i'll probably do more then 6 sessions because i want my acne scarring completely gone.

LVA, the thing is that my dad will be paying for this... i've actually sent him an email(he doesn't live with me at the moment) asking him to order me some make-up that i need and a glycolic acid but he hasn't done that so far yet and i can't afford to buy my own at the moment. but he said that he will pay for any skin procedure for sure, because he knows how much my acne scars bother me. it's not like i'm freaking out over some redspots, i have serious acne scarring that can only be removed with a professional procedure.

also, i have pretty bad acne scarring(red marks, indents, skin discoloration, unever skintone/texture, etc.), so i don't really have a choice, i have to have some type of procedure done because they really do bother me and i'm sick of wearing foundation all the time.

You're gonna love the professional microderm! It really makes a huge difference! I would like to try the laser too but was told it feels like rubber bands popping your face. They do numb it first but i'm allergic to the numbing agent they use so there's no way i'd be able to tolerate it without, I don't believe.

That's very sweet of your dad! My dad has payed for some of my treatments, as well.

I'm excited for you! Be sure to let us know how it goes!

thanks!!! =) i'll let y'all know.

i just hope i will be able to start right away... because i got off my accutane course almost 4 months ago... so i think you're suppose to wait 6 months to have any type of rough procedure... but not too sure...

Y'all make me wanna get this microdermabrasion deal. How does it work and what are the exact effects?

And I hope all goes well WithoutYou. I'm excited for you!
