Skin Care Tip: Aloe vera and baking soda scrub

submitted by Anonymous

Tip description / details:

Gentle scrub that makes your skin, face and body so soft and smooth!

Ingredients:

Baking soda, Aloe Vera juice or gel (bottled or fresh...both work well)

How to prepare:

Put 1 cup of baking soda in a wide moth jar. Add just enough Aloe Vera juice or gel to make a smooth paste. If it turns out too wet, add a little more baking soda. Mix well.

How to use:

Apply to moistened face, or from head to toe, in the shower. Massage gently and rinse well. Results (observed by submitter):

The scrubbing massage is in itself refreshing and invigorating! But the best result is felt as soon as you rinse off! You will hardly recognize the texture of your own skin. It feels deeply cleansed, so soft and smooth. I find this is an excellent alternative to soap, which always makes my skin feel rough and scummy!

Thanks for posting. I will have to definately try this. But one question. Where do you buy the aloe vera stuff? I've seen it at vitamin shops/health stores. There are many different products, not sure what exactly to get.

Thanks

Great tip! I've tried scrubbing with baking soda before, but gonna try it with aloe vera sometime.
