So I have this strange desire to get a pixie cut...

I am 14 and about to be 15 in a few months

I am not so much as worried about the people who don't like it and stuff I am just not sure how I will look...I think my face is very fat and my cheeks are really chubby and I am not sure if I could pull of a pixie cut.

I am just really super tired of having to deal with hair constantly...its such a hassle! It takes forever to dry and when it does its poofy and curly. I have REALLY thick hair

If you guys think I should what style do you think I should get? I really don't want to look like a guy...

this is me currently...

I have never cut my hair shorter than this in my life and am really intimidated by getting one. This so really huge so please leave your honest opinions! THANKS GUYS!

If you cut it pixie, it's going to be even poofier and curlier. It will also "shrink" more when it dries, which means that it's going to be even shorter after drying than is when you get it cut.

I think it would look cute, but you'll have to flat iron it regularly to get it to sit like it should. It looks like it's really well cut as is, your layers are great! You should always keep in mind your hair type when making a decision about getting it cut.

Thanks for the input!

I probably should've reworded that better when i typed it....So basically my hair is thick and wavy...So when it just air dries the waves come out henceforth making it slightly poofy.

I do really like my hair now but I don't know I really want to mix it up and even this short is starting to bother me...it's the struggle

I would change up coloring before I'd change up length if you want to mix it up if I were in your shoes, but that's because I think your hair looks fabulous as is. I cut my hair 12 years ago to a pixie, and I had waist length hair before that. My hair is really curly and I thought that it would look cute like some of my friends' hair when it was short, but I regretted the decision to cut it almost immediately. It was a much more drastic chop than yours, but I spent the next 10 years getting it back to where I have it now, which is where I want it. Basically, it's a personal decision based on your own preferences, but I'd just keep in mind that it's a lot easier to cut it off than it is to grow it back.

Also, as far as the length goes, a pixie is only going to take about 3-4 inches off your longest layer-it's not going to make a HUGE difference, maintenance-wise. I also don't think it will make a huge difference as far as it getting in the way, getting in your face, etc-and a pixie is probably not going to be long enough to pull back, which is a serious negative in my opinion. Hair is intensely personal and based on your preferences when it comes to many things and the situations you run into every day, but if it were me I'd keep it at the length that it is because it works extremely well for your face shape.

Yes you should!!!

I am 16, and i had long hair until i was about 12, then I cut it . I totally loved it, and I didn't look like a boy even though i was so young and dressed in my older brothers old clothing. I then let my hair grow out, changing the color every now and then. I am a natural dirty blond, but I have had red, light brown, dark brown and bleached hair. However recently, I got a pixie cut again and I'm happy with it. I have thick hair as well.

Also, even if you don't end up liking it, this is the best time to do it! My philosophy is find out what you like while you are young and so you can always do it later if you want. I've also realized (through my many hair changes) that no one will really care after a few days, so don't worry about people's reactions.

Plus you have a great face for it! your features are very cute, which looks great with a pixie cut. I would do it.

p.s. In terms of style, I don't know what would look best on you personally, but look at pictures of celebrity hair styles (Ginnifer Goodwin has some good ones) or ask a hair stylist you trust.
