I have noticed that in the past few weeks my skin is VERY shiny and oily... even more so than usual. I even bought the blotting sheets... didnt work for me at all. I mean today i didnt even wear foundation to see if that was the problem. Can anyone suggest what to do?i saw in the store that clean& clear makes a shine control moisturizer... read the reviews.. not sure if i should get it though. Any suggestions would help! I really appreciate it! Thank You So Much!

Could be a number of things, heat, hormones, summer. The one thing is, sometimes the more you try to dry it out, the more oily you'll become (your glands will produce more...sometimes thinking your skin needs more oil-our natural moisturizing). So just be careful, if your skin is not normally oily, don't try to dry it out too much, because it could make it worse.

The Clean and Clear Blotting sheets are nice if you are oily. They should not harm or dry you out to the point of you becoming more oily.

How about a gentle powder or something that might help? You could also try a oil control moisturizer....make sure it's gentle! Look at the ingrediants.

Our company (Arbonne) has a product line called Intelligence...it self adjusts to your skin type and gives your skin what it needs and brings it back to it's optimal pH level. You could always give it a try - they offer a 45 day money back gaurentee.

I have combo skin, and it goes through stages of oiliness too. I like to use a mattifier before I apply foundation, that really seems to keep the shine away most of the day!

Also, a foundation that is aimed for "oily" skin helps too. Revlon Color Stay is a good one for that!

my skin used to be like that. then I got a good mattifying oil-control mositurizer and now all is well.

Use an oil controling powder anddd as for skincare u should go have a look at neutrogena they have one speacial for very oily skins

How about a good astringent that will refine your pores, thus reducing the oilyness????

I wrote a review of it in this thread:

they sell it at Bath and Body Works.

Well my skin is naturally oliy...so when I wear foundation I need to put a layer of blotting power above so the make up can stay longer.

I use Mac's powder, nice price and effecitve.
