this probably wont get a lot of replies,

tell it!

it doesnt have to end wonderfully either

just type away

my skin has cleared up so much - and it's because i started eating right and drink LOTS of water. people keep asking me what i use now.

THE END!

After I went off BC I started getting mild acne. After a couple topical prescriptions from my doctor (one with too much alcohol in it that irritated the "acne lesions" as they so beautifully call them), I started listening to the advice of my waxer, a very sweet lady who is also a facialist and my friend's mom. I switched to a gel cleanser and then, because I didn't feel I needed it, stopped using my toner. I also cut down on the stuff I did to my face. Now I wash, apply a moisturizing boost to my severely dry areas, apply a salicylic acid gel to the areas that break out, then apply eye cream, then moisturizer w/SPF 15 mixed with a little of my favorite serum (Source Therapie from Biotherm). At night, I wash, apply an AHA liquid all over, eye cream, moisturizing boost, and DHC Extra Nighttime Moisturizer, which makes my face SOO soft. I'm seeing a MAJOR difference. The breakouts have stopped and my face is back to normal! The red marks from the acne run-in are still fading, but I'm back to my spot-free, smooth skin. Yay!!! It was a really really really frustrating few months b/c I'd never had lots of breakouts before.

I would have to agree with Jennifer that drinking a lot of water will work miracles on your skin. I started using St. Ive's Apricot Scrub and I really like it so far.

Ummm face was bad went on accutane got real good then 7 months later got bad started using benzoyl peroxide and its been really good and here we are today in total only 3 zits..... which is annoying still cuz it was clear last week lol this site brings me bad luck haha jk.

ummm i had really really bad skin. i would use everything in the drug store under the sun. my skin got so so bad that sheets of skin off my forhead would come off. i over-exfoliated so i was always flaky no matter what i did. i had this dry oily skin, cause i was trying to get it oil free squeeky clean so i'd be like dry/flaky with tons of zits (not the little baby ones, but the huge honking gaint red ones). someone even said that my face looked really clear in my senior picture (and the only reason was because the pictures were airbrushed).

then i gave up, stopped all that, started using a few products, ended up in love with the 3 step system from clinique, and now no one believes me when i tell them how awfull my skin was.

My skin is really quite bad acne wise. Has been for 8 years now. I have actually tried EVERYTHING.

Cleansing, toning and moisturising is starting to work for me though and I now have a dermatologist who can help me.

Being a poor student it's not always easy to eat that well though!

i have acne. now my skin is a lot better, but a few years ago i still had a lot of acne scars and my skin really wasn't good looking & summer was a torture.

i went to my dermatologist, hoping he knew what kind of product i could use to help me. i went out five minutes later with a huge list of cleansers, exfoliators&creams. i also had to take a spf60 sunscreen because of the creams being kinda light attractive(we were in august, how could i stay at home?). my parents screamed when they saw the bill. i too when i became allergic to half of the products.

now i take care of my skin myself, drink water, gently exfoliate and do masks. green clay has really helped me, that's my savior, lol.

the lesson for me : do not trust your derm. sad.

Jessie : doctor who fan?

Not so much a story but I had incredibly bad dark circles (hereditary, insomnia and illness induced- what a package!) but since using Caudalie eye cream, they're pretty much gone and i actually look 19 instead of '19-with-OAP-eyes'

FUNNY THING....EVERYTHING my derm gave me for 3 years made my skin worse...nothing ever worked!!!!! I also had allergic reactions to alot of things, and I mean to the point where I was hospitalized!!!! I now use purpose gentle cleansing bar, and camellia oil as a moisturizer, and natures cure. My skin for the most part is clear, almost as clear as it was in high school. Now, I have to figure out how to make those ones that come at the time if the month go away!!!!!!!!!!!
