Some lemon juice.

If you are experiencing redness on your face, the last thing you want is to apply any kind of irritant.

So I'd stay well away from lemon juice.

There's a great website by Paula Begoun called beautypedia.

go to:

http://www.beautypedia.com/

search all reviews

master brand list

You'll find indepth reviews on both clinique and estee lauder - you'll be able to make your own informed decision then.

couldn´t agree more.

I´d take a close look at that redness. Is it post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) from breakouts or redness from irritating products that contain alcohol, menthol, too high doses of benzol peroxide etc? Use gentle products that still include active ingredients that are proven to work (like hydroquinone and other skin lighteners, retinol, glycolic and salicylic acid etc). Both Clinique and Estee Lauder have some great products and some not so great ones.

Actual acne scars (a lot of people say scars when they actually mean PIH) won´t respond to anything over the counter, and even prescription creams have very limited potential.

I love the new Idealist Even Tone Skin Illuminator. It's way better than the old Idealist and it's great for evening out the complexion.

I have rosacea and tired of the products i bought i simply made my own cream. My main purpose was an antiaging cream, so i used antiaging ingredients, but i also included red wine extract (vitis vinifera rubra leaf extract). It's mainly known by people with leg circulation problem, but rosacea is also a blood circulation issue, so it can be included in a facecream. It also has antiaging properties.

If you don't want or don't know how to do an emulsion, you can buy the extract and incorporate it in pure aloe vera gel, or make your own gel with water, the extract and xanthan gum or guar gum.

Paula is a scam-artists IMO. I wouldn't buy anything she pimps or says.

Go to Isomers website and email them and ask them what they would suggest. Estee Lauder and Clinique are crap. Yes, lemon juice *could* work, but for some it may be irritating. Try it out and see if it's ok for you. I have been sing Isomers for 3 years now, and also make my own citric acid peel which gets rid of acne spots and scarring very fast. I have had absolutely NO problem with sensitivity or 'photo-sensitivity' as I have had so many people warn me about. These are usually people who don't know much about what they are talking about. Many antibiotics cause photo sensitivity, yet nobody would tell you not to use them if you were sick. Except maybe me haha :) I've been making many of my own skin care products since I was a teenager. I am now 43. I have also used herbs and essential oils for many, many years, and was at one time a natural soap and skin care product maker. Have started making skin care products again. I also use herbs internally and have been my entire life. The point i, I speak from experience of using the things I recommend, and would never recommend something I would not use myself.

You can PM me for more info if you would like. Good luck :)

When my acne cleared up I was left with tons of dark spots from scarring. It would takes months for it to fade. I started putting lemon juice on my face before I went to bed and the next morning they would be lighter. Lemon juice works great and its super cheap.
