Morning everyone! So it's been a while since I was on this forum and I've always been a huge fan of skincare, so naturally this is usually the first forum I end up congregating on. Anyways, I'm not sure if anyone's been keeping up with them, but one of my last posts was about thinking to try Proactiv because I have been so fed up with still having breakouts, uneven skin texture, and just a real bad skin tone overall. I did start the kit about a month and a bit ago and of course I ended up getting some dry, flakey skin. I was trying to search for a good moisturizer that wouldn't be too oily now that summer is coming, but it would also help for my more drier areas. I was surprised by how many products I tried were either too greasy or just didn't give enough moisture at all.

Well we just got this new store called Yves Rocher in the huge mall where I live...anyone here heard of West Edmonton Mall in Canada? Supposedly it used to be the biggest mall in the world just a few years ago. So me and a friend were doing a nice girls shopping weekend two weeks ago and when I went in that store it was just pure excitement...they have makeup, body care, skin care, perfumes, etc and it's all marketed as being plant based and mostly natural/organic! To me it was like a cool European or French version of The Body Shop. Anyways we spent a good amount of time in there and I ended up walking away with quite an arm load of stuff, I'll tell you! My favorite part of it was this little $6 discovery kit that had these little sample tubes of amazing smelling day and night creams.

Well to put a long story short, I have been blown away by them! I haven't actually needed to even touch the Proactiv in weeks, and after going back to get a few more items my whole regimen is now from Yves Rocher, and my skin is just looking so great. I have crazy acne-prone, sensitive skin and I have not needed to touch a spot treatment or acne treatment product since starting these new things. For me it is HUGE to go two weeks without a single pimple...especially at this wonderful TOTM (sorry if that was too much info).

I came on here because I have to recommend for you guys to check this line out...seriously if you knew how much money I've spent there in the last few weeks (gone back twice now!) and how great each item I've bought is, you'd be running there too.

The face products I've been loving are:

Pure Camille Gel Cleanser-so gentle and lightly foaming

Pure Camille Alcohol Free Toner-one of the nicest toners ever!

Bio Culture Awakening Day Cream- LOVE, LOVE! Witch Hazel Water is the 2nd ingredient.

Bio Culture Night Cream-smells amazing

Sorry this is sooo long. I tend to ramble on here all the time. lol I just had to tell you guys that I swear this could be the start to an addiction with this store/brand!

Interesting, I heard of this brand before. I'm in my 30's and just now getting pimples, it sucks. So I'm looking for some new products to help, I will check these out.

Maybe their products range changes in Canada, but only a small part is technically organic (and at such prices...), and don't be fooled by the natural approach, they do better than other brands, but they still have a lot of the junk you can find at your supermarket.

*end of personal rant/issue with Yves Rocher*

I used the Pure Calmille makeup remover before, it's the 2 in 1 thing with toner inside. I really liked the product for its cleansing part, but i'm not such a fan of the toner included inside.

I've had samples of the day and night creams, there was only enough for one use, but they were very nice. It's just here i can get similar products from well established organic brands for less money, so i logically go for them instead of Yves Rocher.

I suggest you check out their little bath balls (coconut and vanilla are my favorites) and their shower gels, they smell good. I suggest the witchhazel shower gel (it's hamamelis in french). Check out also their reward system, if it exists, here we frequently get coupons for a free or free with purchase gift, sometimes they're useful gifts lol.

magosienne- Thanks for the heads up. I definitely appreciate the honesty! Here in Canada we don't have tons of readily available natural/organic brands, but I have tried some that aren't to bad. And ya...after close examination in the store I realized the Pure Camille line has parabens in it, but thankfully I was more excited about the prices and quality of the products than how organic or natural they are.

Since this is my first foray into Yves Rocher I guess I'm just trying to try what I can since at this point the prices are so good. They were very nice sale prices though, so who knows how I may feel when I have to purchase them full price. lol

And thank you for letting me know about their bath balls and the Witch Hazel shower gel. I was actually really looking at a few things in that Hamamelis line; there's some interesting things in there.

I signed myself up into the club the first trip I did but they never exactly explained how it goes about, and I can't find too much info out on it. Would you maybe know how that kinda of works? I know my first card is mostly full of stamps though, whatever that means. *blushes* hehe

The products are pretty good overall, surely cheaper than Body Shop, because here even with sales it remains expensive.

The reward system has changed recently, but from what i remember from the old one, a certain number of stamps means a certain product (or price range) you can get at the store, i think you can even choose a small facial in their beauty institute.

The free product is determined by the number of stamps, on my old card when all my stamps were full i either had the choice of redeem my stamps and get whatever product i could choose, or to save them and continue onto a second card. They would just glue a second empty sheet of stamps and indicate it's my second or third card (it goes up to 3, then you're back to zero). More stamps means a bigger gift logically. I know when i asked i found one sheet of stamps wasn't so interesting, they make it worth saving your stamps.

I never really got to that, i was saving up my stamps for a product i actually found useful for me when they changed their reward system

I'm going to have to try some of these products sometime! They sound great! The products look cheap too, most of them are 50% off on the website!

Yup, gotta admit they regularly have discounts or promotional prices, something like that.
