It seems to me that everyone being impacted by the banning is VIB Rouge and not a Flash user.  Which makes even less sense!! Maybe because we actually paid money for the service, as opposed to Rouge, which wasn't specifically paid for... it's just a free "perk" that has no upsides.

Seriously it makes no sense! I mean, I'm both, and in one way I spent $1000 for the service, and $10 for the other (Flash). I hardly see how that $10 (or $25 as some did, apparently?) pays for it more than the $1000 in goods did. And many girls used Groupon for Flash, making it $5!

Awesome! Thanks! I wonder why it's so different for .com?

come shop in some NY stores, they're very knowledgeable and we're often told that NY sephora associates are the most trained.

also, i know in MY store right now we have over 1,000 boxes piled up in the back and its physically not humanly possible to know every single things thats back there right now :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Aww, I never said (or meant) that ALL Sephoras don't know what's going on! I meant that this was yet another perfect example of Sephora (as a whole company) having TERRIBLE interdepartmental communication (another being the way the CS reps have no idea what's going on with Rouge), and I really stand behind my comment. What if I was the average consumer and didn't know better than to not take him at his word that the company didn't carry that brand? It's really bad training to not know that you don't carry an entire brand, IMO. An item is one thing, a brand is another monster entirely.

I know that not every Sephora store is the same, and like I said, I never said all Sephoras don't know what's going on. I, myself, have had excellent service at different locations, including one here in town at The Venetian. I wish it wasn't so hard to get to.

P.S., thank you for your advice and your insight as to what's going on as an employee, it really has been super helpful and I for one have never thanked you. <3

Yay! Just got my $15 reward card!

Interestingly it doesn't say anything in the fine print about not being able to be used with another gift card. It just says it can't be used with another promotional rewards card.

Anyone know if the $20 off $50, gives us the 20 points (for the $20 off), since it's a gift card.  Does that make sense?

My account looks like they added them.

Wow that is a real interesting observation on the flash folks not being part of the banning rampage!

I am convinced that this whole banning is stemming from some algorithem based on some extremely out of touch parameters or requirement list... and no one is stepping up to the plate to admit responsibility.

The wizard behind th curtain is just a chubby monkey eating bananas.

s/o Flash. Is it full for good now, or are they still gradually sending invites? I know I applied for one awhile back but I don't know much beyond that.

Lol that is so hilarious, you just made my day

You should call them randomly at different times and maybe they'll hook you up with Flash. They gave it to me for $10 about 3 weeks ago because I think the girl felt bad and was trying to correct the issue with my VIB account.

Does anyone know if the minis in the tarte lipsurgence set will be released in full size or are they limited edition?? I really love three of the shades, and I'm half way through each of them!, they are called generous, cheerful and lovely. I think the full sizes will last me much longer!

Got my virtual copy of my "mailed" (I seriously doubt they mailed it...which is fine.) card! Yayyyy! Rx, power plant...ALL OF THE LIP TARS. Well, not all of them...lol. And maybe the FAB concentrate that was just recommended by a beauty on this site on a different thread ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

thank you, I'm happy to answer any questions for you guys!

and i hope i didn't come across as rude! i didn't meant it that way. i just mean that i know some stores or some corporate people are not so friendly, whereas some stores are amazing and some corporate people are very helpful.

sometimes at work when I'm forced to call the VIB number for a client, if i get someone rude i just hang up and call again lol

Me too! I found out a week before BF so I did shop elsewhere. I really feel bad for those who stayed up all night and ordered a bunch of items from Sephora and then wake up to find the orders are all cancelled!!! That's beyond sad...... Have they cleared your name yet?
I don't think my name has been cleared yet, I didn't call to check. I doubt it, they didn't contact me. Perhaps they are still 'reviewing' or maybe they will 'review' recent banned accounts but at this point I am not turning back. I have definitely become a fan of ulta and macys! I was able to pick up a set of three cute chubby lip pencils from macys, they were in a set called chubby treats, at a great price. Sooo pretty! I never even checked out their Black Friday deals last year and I was pleasantly surprised. Nordys are pretty good too!

I just browsed the fine print and found this:

"One complimentary promotional reward card per person; it is not valid for resale and cannot be combined with another promotional reward card or gift card."

I understand the no resale/no additional promo rule, but I definitely don't understand the gift card rule. That money is already in Sephora's pockets - how is it really any different than paying by credit/debit?
Well this pretty much ruins my plans for my $20 GC - I had hoped to try to get Naked 3 early, use the  $20 GC and pay the balance with the regular GC my wonderfully generous husband gave me last week.  Really didn't want to have to spend out of pocket for it.

I posted above but the gift card they email doesn't say the same wording in the fine print:

Mine says -

One complimentary promotional reward card per person; it is not valid for resale and cannot be combined with another promotional reward card

I emailed them about it to see if there was any way around it, so hopefully I am still able to use both. The earliest I'd be able to get into a store is after 5pm on the day it is released and I'm worried they will be gone by then.

Oh, boo. I wanted to pick up the Universal lip liner and maybe something else while snagging the birthday gift, but looks like it's out of stock now ... after it had been in stock when I checked last night before I got my BI $15 code.

Time to decide if there's anything else I want or if I should wait until later in the month.

I had a very positive experience today at the Roosevelt Field Sephora.

I returned the 5 extra Cindy palattes that I had.  In the same bag that I handed to her were the 5 VIB Benefit GWP as well, incase it was the thing to do.

Monique was great in processing the returns for me.  Not one hair of nagativity or attitude.  Just reallly sweet.  She also said to keep the GWP because she wouldn't know what to do with them.  Great!!  (will put them back into AFG care packages!)

She did ask me if I placed the 5 sperate orders for the GWP and I candidly responded 'yes'.  So I don't know, I might be one step closer to ze LVMH Sephora VIB-R guillotine... but am still member in good standing.

@pinkrosebella  I understand how you feel. You still have time to take the purchases back and get cash back, right? (By that I mean have it credited back to your CC/debit and not store credit). If you still have, say, 60 days to return the items for a full refund, or even 30, you can wait, now that this has been picked up by Consumerist (yay to the girls who followed that advice!! I'm proud of you, seriously!!) and see if Sephora does anything. THEN, if they clear your name, you can STILL take the unused items back with your head held EXTRA high instead of feeling the way you're feeling right now- confused and hurt and rightfully very angry. Or, if they do something really, really amazing (we can dream, right?) to make it right, then you can choose to continue doing business with them, if that's your perspective. Either way, if you still have time, I would wait. Now, if you have, say, 5 days left until you only get in-store credit, I would def do it in the next couple of days!  Good luck to you. Please know that I have also been sending letters to various publications and the powers that be at Sephora in your, and everyone else's, behalf..
I still have time before I can't get my money back for the items. I will wait until the last few days... I'm not trying to encourage or discourage anyone who may be in the same situation...it's just my personal opinion on what I think I should do. I really appreciate your support After seeing lots of complaints, mostly I saw them on BT but a lot of it has mysteriously disappeared now... I saw the articles and comments online, I'm not surprised that it has caught some media attention.
