:icon_scratch: y is this thread in the Coupons, Codes, Promos, Sales, Shopping Tips Forum? , I see it's been edited though ... but maybe it should be in the skincare forum. And there's lots of self-tanner posts in that forum
LMAO @ Kim! Apparently it's been moved... Anywho! I used to use Neutrogena self-tanners/bronzers, but I quit using them because of the orange mess it seemed to make on my hands no matter what! Then I started tanning in the beds, but I've given it all up! LOL!
I like self-tanners. I've never come out streaky or splotchy, some of them certainly smell better than others, and it helps out a lot with your hands if you do sections of your body at a time and then keep washing your hands in between. I used to be super-addicted to going tanning, but I really don't want skin cancer.
I'm quite pale but can't go tanning since I've already had to have 3 skin biopsies testing for skin cancer. I really don't want to get cancer.
I used to use self-tanners but it was way too much work (and too smelly). Now I basically only use self-tanners if I'm going to be showing my legs because they're "as white as a sheet" (or so I've been told). lol.
I use Jergen's Natural Glow and love it. The smell isn't bad to me, it is very simple to use and maintain and to a achieve a very light, "real- looking" tan with. Other self tanners though, no--you need too much discipline and patience for them, and a high enough threshold to the always prevalent risk that to others/yourself you might wind up resembling a walking jack o' lantern.
I don't use self tanners on a regular basis, mostly only for spring when summer is coming up or for special occasions, but I like Endless Summer Sunless Tanner. It is so natural looking, never orange! It comes in a big light green bottle and it's very affordable...around $13.00. Bronzers are completely different story though..I can't live without it and I use it daily to just make my face glow. I'm currently using a bronzer from Avon, but I wanna try Jane's new bronzers. I think tans in general help hide skin imperfections.
