I don't know about you but it seems to difficult to find a good stylist. I was going to a new place and liked the girl. I grew out my bangs (took almost a year) into side swept ones. The last visit she mentioned I needed a little taken off the bangs (split ends) and I had no problem with that. She trimmed them much shorter, one section is  shorter and now falls in my face constantly. Earlier this week I went for a trim. I mentioned politely that the one piece keeps falling in my face (not long enough to sweep to the side) and I would like to grow them more. She said no problem and trimmed my hair. So what does she do.. starts to trim my bangs again! I stopped her but too late. That short piece I'm growing out is now even shorter! Luckily she didn't manage to cut the rest of the bangs. Seriously why don't they listen.

So now I'm on the hunt for another place.

Yes, it's difficult for me to find a good hairstylist. I want long hair and i'm growing out mine, and i don't do it for another purpose, but i'll admit i use it to test a hair salon. It's also a matter of who's taking care of your hair, i suck at remembering the name of my previous hairstylist, but for example this new hair salon i'm going to the first time i was taken care of by a senior hair stylist, and judging by her authority i assumed she was a boss if not the boss. I learned that day using scissors is a true skill.

But then i came back not so long ago to get my usual 3 months trim, and i got a junior hair stylist. She did a good job, but she had trouble understanding i wanted a small layering of the hair around my face.
