the other night i was watching a program on mtv about jlo, and it said she buys a bottle of basically sea water to help with pores, do you think sea salt would actually work or would ruin the skin?

Jlos skin is beautiful so she must be useing something good!. I used a face pack the other week containing 'dead sea minerals', it didn't seem to work that well because the day after a huge spot appeared on my chin and it was very painful.. its only now nearly going !

Usually when you get the spot the next day, that means the treatment you used brought it to the surface. The pimple would have already been there, you just brought it out quicker. Thats a good thing.

i think J.Lo uses alot of stuff ...today i was watching E! and it said she uses a cream thats over $1200 for 16oz.

I don't think that sea salt would be equal. I've noticed that after vacationing at the beach and swimming in sea water daily, my skin is very clear. Sea water contains so many natural minerals that are good for the body. If you add sea salt to your local water, think of all the chemicals that were added during purification--not the same.

Very true!

I think that sea water definitely has its benefits, that's why companies are starting to make all these skincare products 'sea water based' etc. I know that it is more natural, and that sea salt water has antibacterical abilities. When I got my navel pierced, I was told to use sea salt water to clean it! :satisfied:

I had to comment on the cream JLo uses that's $1200 for 21 oz? Yikes! And I'm jealous! lol! But Happy with my face regimen:clap too.

Also I would think salt water would be great for your face. Maybe as a steam facial? I may do that today actually! Thanks for the idea ladies!

Luv AM

OMG! I would definitely buy it ... IF it would make every line and wrinkle disappear, IF it would tone the underlying muscles for a face-lift effect, IF it would make my skin tone perfectly even ... oh yeah, and IF it would put itself on - LOL

hi anyah,so did that steam wid salt water work coz i wanna try it too!

for $1200 for 21 oz, better make me never get a wrinkle or a zit. and make me a genious.

or else i can use that money to pay for 1/4 of a year of college.

:smilehappyyes: , yes it is. My husband avoids masks, because he thinks he'll get a pimple. :icon_cry: It makes me sad, too, because I love applying them on other people.

i didnt think of it like that, thanks for pointing that out. i quess i wont be washing my face with it then, but i might do anyah_green's suggestion and use it as a steam facial.
