Hey,

Last year I brought a white lotion they called sandalwood from Egypt. They told me that I could use it as a mask.

I never tried it until a few days ago. I love the feeling of my skin afterwards. It's so smooth.

But I have some questions :

- do you know that product ?

- what is it exactly ?

- what does it contain ?

- can I use it for other purposes?

hmm i dont know... isnt sandelwood the scent of the lotion? hope someone can help

I have used sandalwood powder as a mask for years. I mix the powder with some yogurt and it leaves my skin really smooth and glowy afterwards. Sandalwood is just the wood of a tree, supposed to have very good properties that is good for the skin. I mix mine with yogurt as I have dry skin. The yogurt moisturizes the skin.

where do you find sandalwood powder in the u.s.? is it very expensive? i know sandalwood oil at whole foods is over 60 dollars. i love the scent of sandalwood, so the idea of a sandalwood and yogurt mask sounds like heaven!

I get the sandalwood powder from a Indian grocery store. A packet of 25grams is $1.80.

I love the scent of sandalwood too!

it is really expensive so i have never bought it...but my friend has it and it is just like any other essential oil and comes in a little brown, glass bottle. my friend wears it as a fragrance. i would imagine you could use sandalwood oil for other things as well...they sell it at the whole foods market here.

I use the powder as well. I just mix it with cold rose water and apply it to my face as a mask. It's great at drying up small pimples. I have a cream with sandalwood oil in it as well..I got it for like 2 bucks at an Indian store.

i actually found a specific milk & red sandalwood mask reviewed on Lucky magazine when i googled online, its from Juara skincare . I've used some of their products but I never heard of a sandalwood treatment?? I always thought it was a scent too, but sandalwood is supposed to reduce redness, calm your stressed skin, good for sensitive skin etc. Supposedly sandalwood is an anti-inflammatory that can even help with acne besides evening out the skin tone. Actually, that's pretty cool I think i will try it with the rose water and dab it on my acne spots.
